VERY VOCAL SI Derek Ramsay nang sabihin niyang crush niya si Kristine Hermosa na leading lady niya sa teleseryeng Nasaan Ka Maruja? “Yeah, it’s true! Crush ko si Kristine noon, hindi pa ako artista. Physically, I’m attracted to her. I’m getting to know Kristine, very nice person but I don’t see her that way. I’m in a relationship, malakas ang dating ni Kristine,” papuring sabi ng aktor.
Alam natin, malabong magkatuluyan ang dalawa dahil may Angelica Panganiban na si Derek. Hinihintay nga lang ni Angel na mag-propose sa kanya ang binata. “You know naman, it’s every dream naman for a girl to get married, they dream for that special day. That’s important to the person I love, I’m gonna give it to her, no question asks.”
Selosa ba si Angelica? “I will admit selosa siya dati, in the beginning. Siya ‘yung tipo na tumitingin sa cellphone. The relationship is matured, and grow to the point na.”
Kailan kaya magiging ready si Derek para pakasalan si Angel? “Ayaw kong magkapamilya kung hindi ko mabibigyan ng oras. Right now, hindi ko mabigyan ang sarili ko ng oras. So, more pa ang family ko, hindi ko nga nabibigyan ng oras ang dad ko, mom ko, ang brother ko.”
In case, nagkatuluyan sila ni Angel pero hindi kasal, okey lang kaya kay Derek na hindi gamitin ang last name niya? “No, it doesn’t really matters to me. If my wife or the woman I’m gonna spent the rest of my life doesn’t want to carry my name, it’s fine with me. It’s not the macho thing for me, that’s the name she’s been carry all her life, why should she change it? That’s my partner’s decision.
Ayon kay Derek, siya mismo ang magtatanong kay Angelica kung ready na siyang lumagay sa tahimik. “Oo, malalaman ko naman ‘yun. I listen to Angel. It’s not one side relationship, give and take kami. So, for me I realize na importante sa kanya ‘yun so, one day…” paliwanag ng magaling na aktor.
Balitang na-ospital si Angelica? “It’s true, it was on national TV.
Everybody knows, si Angel sakitin, may problema sa puso. Pero ‘yung case na ‘yun, akala namin appendicitis. Naka-schedule siya, 2am.
Sinamahan ko siya roon. The next morning, puwede na siyang umalis. So, she was not confine. I was with her, pero negative naman. The doctor said kailangan niyang maging active, something to do with the hormone para mabawasan ‘yun. So, mag-uumpisa na siyang mag-tennis.”
May intrigang nagpa-abort daw si Angelica? “It’s not true because I’m against that, I don’t believe in abortion. It’s illegal here, you know.
Pamilya namin, I have lots of grandkids, 3 nephews, 2 nieces, lagi ko silang hinihiram. So, really that something I will never do. Sabihin ko pa nga ‘yung hospital, Medical City,” natatawang sabi ni Derek na hindi naapektuhan about the issue.
