GINANAP KAMAKAILAN SA Kalayaan Badminton Center ang 2nd Boy Abunda Badminton Cup (BABC) na sinalihan ng 32 players. This fun and exciting tournament coincided with my birthday celebration.
Champions Clem Diwas and Philippe Quito received P20,000, badminton racket, trophy and medal; first runners-up Larry Castillo and Geth Savellano (P15,000, badminton racket, trophy and medal); 2nd runners-up M Baretto and Dominic Karl Roque (P10,000, badminton racket, trophy and medal); and 3rd runners-up Jimmy Torres and Jon Yumul (P5,000, badminton racket and medal).
They are my scholars who are vying for Valedictorian and Salutatorian in their schools. Each of the ten scholars received cash and grocery items which were handed by me and Charlene Gonzales who was my special guest during the awarding ceremonies. Nakakatuwang interbyuhin ang mga estudyante because their voices spoke of their determination to fulfill their dreams. I want to see all of them five years from now na mga ganap na propesyonal sa kanilang piniling larangan at nakatutulong sa kanilang pamilya at kapwa.
Nagpapasalamat din ako sa mga sponsors which made the event possible. The 2nd BABC was presented by La Carmela de Boracay and Café La Carmela. Major Sponsors ang Astoria Plaza, R.A. Gapuz Review Center, R.A. Gapuz, Ariel, Puregold and Puregold Junior, Senator Edgardo Angara, Read Foundation, Iriga City Mayor Madeleine Gazmen, Zest Air at Argentina Corned Beef.
