HINDI si FDCP Liza Dino ang kabuunan ng MMDA’s Metro Manila Film Festival 2017 tulad ng pag-aakala ng karamihan.
Sa kontrobersiya na kinahaharap ngayon ng MMFF 2017 Execom sa pagere-resign ng unang tatlo (Ricky Lee, RolandoTolentino at Kara Magsanoc-Alikpala) na sinundan naman ni Ed Lejano, nagdecide si MMFF Execom Chairman Tim Orbos na palitan ang apat at magtalaga ng tatlong bagong members na kinabibilangan nina: Film Director Maryo J. delos Reyes (Executive Director ng ToFarm Film Festival); Quezon City Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte-Alimurung ( Head, QC Film Development Council in-charge of QCinema International Film Festival and member of the Selection Committee of last year’s MMFF); at si Arnel Ignacio (Assistant Vice President Community Relations and Services, PAGCOR).
Ayon kay Noel Ferrer na Festival Spokesperson and ExeCom Member: ”Remaining slot/s in the EXECOM are kept open for other representatives of the independent cinema after a meeting with them and MMDA officials.
“May this clear the air for constructive and productive work for the members of the MMFF ExeCom and assure the public that we are reaching out to all the sectors and serving to the best interest of our film industry,” dagdag pa nito.
