SA PAGLIPAD ni Ai-Ai de las Alas patungong Amerika nitong June 19 (after attending the hearing that same day kaugnay ng kasong isinampa niya laban kay Jed Salang sa QCRTC), her month-long vacation with her eledest son Sancho Vito would surely allow her meeting up with former partner Miguel Vera.
Ani Ai-Ai, bonding time daw nilang mag-iina ‘yon lalo’t nasa US ang dalawa pa niyang anak by Miguel na sina Nicolo at Sophia na nag-aaral doon.
Kung matatandaan, Miguel—then an already established singer here—chose to migrate to the US after reuniting with his wife Christine (who came before Ai-Ai). Pero sa pagdaan ng panahon, nagkahiwalay rin sina Miguel at Christine. Miguel, pet named Boyet, fell in love with Christine’s former classmate na nakilala niya sa Amerika. The two are now a couple.
All these years, however, Ai-Ai and Boyet have remained friends, at least for the sake of their kids. For a while, nakatira ang kanilang mga anak sa bahay ng ama nila, but later opted to rent an apartment na sagot ni Ai-Ai.
Nainterbyu ng Startalk ang komedyana sa departure area ng NAIA, pero tikom ang kanyang bibig sa mga detalye tungkol sa hearing. Dahil na rin ‘yon na gag order na ipinag-utos ng korte sa magkabilang partido.
Marami kasi ang nagsususpetsa that Ai-Ai’s main reason for leaving the country was to fix her divorce from Jed na kanyang pinakasalan shortly after Holy Week this year in Las Vegas. Biglang-bigla kasi ang kanyang pag-alis, but Ai-Ai wouldn’t confirm nor deny.
But one thing’s for sure, malaki ang maitutulong ng kanyang erstwhile partner na si Miguel para pagpayuhan ang dating kinasama as to the legal implications of whatever course of action that Ai-Ai would take.
In hindsight, a secret wedding in Benguet took place between Ai-Ai and Miguel, only for the comedienne to discover the latter’s previous and binding marriage to Christine. Umabot sa puntong bigamy charge.
Sa ngayon, all that Ai-Ai is most certain about ay hindi raw muna siya iibig muli. But if we know her well enough, mahihirapan niyang mapanindigan ito.
Sa maraming taon na nasaksihan namin ang buhay-pag-ibig ng hitad—ke lantaran man o palihim—Ai-Ai’s heart doesn’t get tired of loving even if it gets bruised in the process.
KUNG MAY male counterpart si Ai-Ai kung pagiging makulay rin lang ng buhay-pag-ibig ang pag-uusapan ay si Robin Padilla ‘yon, only that the difference lies in the action star’s being always on guard of his emotions.
