Ai-Ai delas Alas, pinigilang magpasabog ng bomba kontra Maine Mendoza?

Ai-Ai delas Alas, pinigilang magpasabog ng bomba kontra Maine Mendoza? Are we supposed to take credit for an item kung itinanggi naman ng subject ang issue, thus putting our credibility at stake?

Here’s a bit of timeline to get our message across: January 27 nang may makapagsabi sa amin ng tungkol sa isinambulat ni Ai-Ai delas Alas about her not-so-pleasant working relationship with Maine Mendoza as told to a group of friends. Ito ‘yung habang ginagawa nila ang kanilang pabebe entry to last year’s MMFF.

Hindi man detalyado, but Ai-Ai delas Alas whined about Maine’s attitude problem. Until the movie got shown ay hindi raw muna magsasalita si Ai Ai, for the sake of the movie na rin.

February 1 nang ibinlind item name namin ‘yon dito sa Pinoy Parazzi, but the way we wrote it ay lumalabas pang si Ai Ai ang aming bida revealing Maine’s off-cam behavior unknown to the public.

February 8 nang pangalanan na namin sina Ai Ai at Maine Mendoza in our column here. Ang mga sumunod na araw had a good number of entertainment tabloid pages either retelling the same topic or debunking it.

More than a week later, may sagot na si Ai Ai sa Yahoo news on Facebook.

Ang sagot: ABSURDLY NO!

Ai Ai categorically denied having an issue with Maine.

Back to the timeline. February 25 when another source (whose name we won’t mention anymore, hindi naman kasi ito threat to national security, ‘no!) validated the item we earlier wrote. But more importantly, our source’s showing us Ai Ai’s series of text messages would prove that indeed, totoo ang aming isinulat.

Ai Ai can have a grand time denying all this—for all we care!—pero “feelingera” ang tawag niya kay Maine Mendoza!

So, why her “Wa-na-‘ko-talk!” stance now? Pinigilan ba si Ai Ai since in the end ay nasa no-win situation siya amidst Maine’s legions of fans?

The latter is the other side sa pagkatao ni Cherry Pie Picache who—along with two other partners Joel Fernando and Christine del Castillo—recently graced the grand opening of her second branch ng itinayo niyang Alab Restaurant at the UP Town Center.

June last year nang buksan ang unang branch nito sa Tomas Morato, and by April another one is set to open in McKinley Hill plus two other branches before the year ends.

Unang tanong sa mahusay na aktres, why resto for a business when the most common yet thriving ay isang holistic spa? And why Alab for a business name?

And I’m so passionate about anything that I do,” ani Cherry Pie whose signature recipe is already in the works.

Recently awarded as the Best Filipino Cuisine Specialty Restaurant by the Golden Globe Annual Awards for Business Excellence, Alab takes pride in serving traditional regional specialties which we sampled ourselves sa naturang medis launch.

As its business thrust, inaanyayahan ni Cherry Pie at ng kanyang grupo ang mga chefs all over the country to pitch in their ages-old recipes para mai-feature sa kanilang mga events.

To the food lovers out there, indulge!
