BLIND ITEM: GIVEN the series of repeated denials on the part of this male host-singer about his alleged shaky marriage ay mukhang kumbaga sa isang ipinagduduldulan nang bagsak-presyong paninda, no one is interested to buy it.
Press release ng host-singer, kinailangan munang magbakasyon ng kanyang misis. May kinakaharap daw kasi itong problema sa kanyang pamilya, na timing naman dahil halos kailan lang natapos ng kanyang esmi ang pagganap sa isang show.
But speaking of that show, this is where the mystery-shrouded case involving the actress and her co-star may have been the root of the couple’s “temporary, physical separation”. Of course, isang maselang isyu ito that none of them would admit nor deny. Lalo’t kilalang mataray at nanonopla ng reporter ang dyowa ng host-singer, she will surely retaliate with a gunfire-sounding answer… na parang komiks lang.
MAY KUMAKALAT NA tsismis being traced to a giant TV network as floating around the news about TV5’s broadcasting existence until 2014.
If true, this is unfair competition being perpretrated by some quarters na halatang ang layunin lang ay siraan ang pinakabagong player in this increasingly exciting industry. Bakit tinataningan nila ang isang istasyon, is it because most of its talents have chosen to leave their network para lumipat sa TV5, and the number is growing each day?
Bakit hindi na lang ituon ng istasyong ito ang kanilang enerhiya sa wastong pangangalaga ng kanilang mga kontratadong artista, so that their artists will not even slightly contemplate transferring to another network?
If we may speak for TV5, pumoposisyon ito nang ganu’n na lang ka-agresibo, let its coffers flow like there’s no tomorrow, magkaroon lang ito ng niche sa mundo ng broadcasting. Bakit hindi magkaroon ng “the more, the merrier” attitude ang umano’y mapanirang network, na sa halip na gawan nila ng imbentong kuwento ay bagkus magsilbing hamon ‘yon upang higit pa nilang palakasin ang kanilang posisyon sa industriya?
Competition, to a large extent, should be healthy. It should not espouse business insecurities, much less spawn dirty tactics to promote one’s interests while undermining the others. Kung secure ang umano’y naninirang istasyong ‘yon, whatever TV5 is doing should not matter at all.
BAGAMA’T NAGHIHINTAY SILA ng proverbial stork’s visit ay may pangalan na ang mag-asawang Yo Ocampo at Carlene Aguilar sa kanilang unang supling (it’s Carlene’s second child, the first one being Calix is by former boyfriend Dennis Trillo): Marcus Iñigo.
For Carlene, she does not look at it as confusing for her child, mabuti nga raw ‘yon at dalawa ang kanyang ama. “Pero he (Calix) does not ask questions. In time, I’ll explain to him why he has two daddies.”
