Kinailangan kasi sa pelikulang Dalaw ni Kris, herself one of the producers, na makaeksena ang leading man niyang si Diether Ocampo, nakatalikod ito revealing his lean yet muscular body at yayakapin ni Tetay. The scene had to be shot last Wednesday (December 8), nagkataong nasa Australia si Diether, and the production was in frantic search of a stand-in. Sa madaling salita, dobol.
Paspasan na kasi ang pelikula, the MTRCB had set the deadline for the forthcoming Metro Manila filmfest entries until December 10. No choice. Kris had to commission James, who is as “sexy” as Diether, to act out the role. It’s been close to seven months since Kris and James have gone separate ways. Napaka-realistic, if not humble naman ang projection ni Tito Dolphy sa kanyang Father Jejemon: mabawi lang daw ang ipinuhunan ng RVQ Productions at kumita nang konti will send him laughing his way to the bank.
MAS KILALA ANG ngayo’y Quezon City Councilor na si Roderick Paulate for his flambouyant gay characters on the big screen, one would be convinced he is limp-wristed in real life because of his credible portrayal. Pero hinubad na ni Dick ang image na ‘yon, the last sa indie film na Ded Na Si Lolo, reminiscent of his gay roles during the 90’s, dahil isa na nga siyang kapita-pitagang konsehal.
In fact, bilang respeto nga ni Direk Wenn Deramas sa kanya who megged the remake of Petrang Kabayo ay pinakiusapan niya si Roderick for a special participation that launched Vice Ganda to full stardom. Dick, however, begged off. Respetado na nga naman siyang pulitiko, pero gaganap na bakla?
Creative hunger, however, seems to have caught up with Roderick, ayun, kinain din niya literally ang kanyang mga salita—only to play Shalala na mas baklang-bakla pa sa kanya in character! On its second episode of TV5’s Star Confessions Presents Shalala this December 15, si Dick nga ang gaganap bilang Shalala.
Sidebar lang muna sa TV bio na ito ni Shalala, it’s a known fact that German Moreno plays an important role sa buhay at career ni Shalala. Pero ayon mismo kay Kuya Germs, hindi raw siya pinayagan ng GMA to guest in Star Confessions.
