NAKATAKDANG ikasal sina Carla Abellana at ang former PBB housemate na si Tom Rodriguez bago matapos ang taong 2021. Ginanap ang actual wedding proposal ni Tom kay Carla noong October 2020 na tinanggap naman agad ng dalaga.
Seven years na tumagal ang kanilang relasyon as a couple bago napagdesisyunang i-level-up ito at mauwi sa kasalan.
Sa isang virtual interview ay ibinahagi ni Carla na wala siyang balak ng kanyang fiancé na huminto sa pagtatrabaho sa showbiz kahit kasal na sila ni Tom. Ayon naman kay Tom, ang original plan niya na magkaroon ng anim na anak ay nagbago na rin dahil sa pandemya.
“Parang dapat wala kaming dapat i-let go because we have a lot of obligations, work obligations, marami kaming mga responsibilities pa and we have to fulfill all of those,” ani Carla.
Balak din daw nilang magpatayo ng sariling bahay kapag nakaipon na sila. Mas kailangan din daw nilang doblehin ang sipag lalo na ngayong bubuo na sila ng pamilya.
Sabi pa ng aktres, “Building a home together that would be new once we get married, papasukin namin yun together. We will incorporate everything pati yung wishes ng isa’t isa in terms of building a home.
“Of course, parenthood, eventually, building a family. Hopefully, it doesn’t get to the point that we have to sacrifice much of work to be able to build a family together, but that’s natural. Doon naman din pupunta so, definitely, maraming papasukin at haharapin together.”
Dagdag naman ni Tom, pagtutulungan nila ni Carla ang lahat para ma-achieve ang kanilang goals.
“Kumbaga, it’s not that you’re going at your 50 percent and hoping to get the other 50 percent from your partner. Inherently, dapat you, guys, both at your best together to build something even better.
“So, hopefully, we’ll try to compromise and really meet in the middle and grow together as a couple in this new chapter of our lives,” lahad ni Tom.
