Ayon sa vlogger/comedian, isang maliwanag na panghuhusga ang kaagad na pambatikos ng netizens sa inilabas na poster ng Tililing na idinirek ni Darryl Yap.
“Sinasabi niyo na MENTAL ILLNESS IS NOT a joke and yes I strongly agree. Pero hinusgahan niyo agad ang pelikulang TILILING dahil sa poster pa lamang. Dahil ang tingin niyo dyan ay JOKE,” simula niyang pahayag sa Facebook.
Giit pa ng vloger/comedian, “Well, we are not joking sa poster na yan. Nasa inyong pag iisip at interpretation ang problema dahil kayo mismo ang nagsasabi na joke at katawatawa ang poster namin.
“Yung iba ang hilig magsabi na MENTAL ILLNESS is not a joke pero mismo sila din ang mahilig magsabi sa ibang tao na ‘nababaliw ka na ata,’ ‘hala nasiraan na,’ ‘nawalan na ng bait’ at iba pa.
“You won’t see the poster funny or even a joke if you really care for those who are suffering from mental illness because you look at them as equals.”
Ipinagtataka rin ni Chad na kapag foreign movie na tumatalakay sa mental health ay wala namang violent reactions ang netizen, pero sa kanilang pelikula ay halos magwala na sila.
“Many people watched JOKER and yet they are ok with it. “A person with mental illness dressed as a clown and doing random violence to terrorize Gotham city. Some even dresses up as him.
“Some are fans of Suicide squad specially Harley Quinn who is also suffering from mental illness. But then others judged the poster as if they already know the entirety of the film,” katwiran pa niya.
Ayon pa kay Chad, tinanggap nila ang film project dahil alam nilang hindi ito makasasakit o makaka-offend sa mga taong merong mental illness.
“Kami po kasama ang mga artista na nasa pelikulang TILILING ni Darryl Yap ay hindi tatanggap ng isang proyekto na alam naming ikakasira ng mga taong nagdadaan sa MENTAL ILLNESS.
“Ako po mismo ay dumaan na din dati sa depression. Ganun din ang iba kong kasamahan ay may pinagdaanan o pinagdadaanan na may kaugnay sa MENTAL HEALTH. Pero we accepted to do this film because we strongly believe in the message that it will convey,” paliwanag pa ni Chad.
Nagbigay din ng mensahe si Chad sa mga taong judgmental.
“Yung mga JUDGEMENTAL people ang nagpapalala ng mga situation by getting offended with something they don’t truly understand or not even related to something. Before you criticize a film and be offended make sure to see the whole thing. Haven’t you learned anything from the cliché ‘DON’T JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER’
“You want awareness. This is a film that you should see. Try to shut your mouths first and try to open your minds while watching the movie then analyze everything. Weigh them. Then you’ll understand the true message of DARRYL YAP’s masterpiece, TILILING,” mariin niyang pahayag.
