Kung may legal phrase na “burden of proof” na kalimitang naririnig natin sa mga court proceedings, sa kaso ng nagbabalik-TV na si Claudine Barrretto, on her shoulder rests the burden to prove that she’s now a totally changed person as far as her work ethic is concerned.
Isang “new, improved Claudine Barretto” (parang bareta rin lang ng sabong panlaba ang peg) na ba ang mababalitaan tungkol sa aktres? Kung sa husay, no doubt, Claudine is one of the country’s best.
Pero kung babalikan natin ang mga tsismis noon tungkol sa kanya particularly her work style and attitude, she could be any of her co-workers’ worst nightmare.
Sa muli naming pagharap ni Claudine Barretto, hmm, mukha namang gone are her kaluka-lukahan working days when she’d reportedly make up hypochondriac tales to justify either: a.) her hasty departure mula sa taping itsurang may mga sequence pa siyang dapat kunan; or b.) her no-show on the set.
Time na, ‘ika nga, to get her act together. Bukod sa apat na taon din siyang hindi nasilayan via a regular soap on TV, nakalulungkot to see such gem of a talent go to the trash bin. ‘Yun nga lang, kung sa basura man ang bagsak nu’n, definitely, Claudine’s talent is segregated as “hindi nabubulok”.
Ito rin marahil ang pinanghihinayangan ng Viva TV kung kaya’t bago pa tuluyan itong mabulok, to the rescue ito agad para isalba ang career ni Claudine. At simula nga sa February 15 ay mapanonood na gabi-gabi ang biggest primetime teledrama na “Bakit Manipis ang Ulap?”
Given the title, literal ngang nasa Cloud 9 si Claudine! Harinawa’y sa alapaap ng kaligayahan sa takbo ng kanyang career siya lumulutang, at hindi sa… hashtag alam na!

MTV Top 20 Pilipinas, originally broadcast on MTV Pinoy, promises to give a no-nonsense musical entertainment and redevelop the young Pinoys’ viewing habits during Saturday nights.
