He is regularly seen on ASAP at kamakailan lang ay napanood sa primetime teleserye na Budoy bilang si BJ Maniego, the foster brother of Gerald Anderson’s character. He has an upcoming Star Cinema movie titled The Reunion with Enchong Dee, Xian Lim, and Kean Cipriano.
Matapos ang Budoy ay muling magbabalik sa primetime TV si Enrique via Princess and I where he plays Prince Jao, one of Kathryn Bernardo’s love interests. The series will start airing tonight, April 16.
Na-interview kamakailan si Enrique at nagkuwento siya tungkol sa kanilang naging experience while shooting the series in Bhutan. Kuwento ni Enrique sa push.com.ph, “I enjoyed it kasi medyo exotic iyong place, it’s something new. Okay naman sa akin. The weather was really cold. Winter doon ngayon so parang everything was just new. Puro bundok, basta super iba iyong environment doon pero masaya naman. I enjoyed it.”
“Doon, usually sa gabi pagod na lahat, so everybody just wants to be in their room kasi super lamig sa labas. But before that, we make sure na naglolokohan kami, kumakain ng laging sabay kasama [ang] handler ko, si Kathryn, mommy niya, buong crew.”
He explained, “Sa Bhutan kasi, iyong food nila roon mostly vegetables at saka chili. ‘Yun lang, basically. I called her that kasi iyon lang [ang] kinakain niya roon kasi hindi siya mahilig sa vegetables. Kinakain lang niya roon [ay] potato and cheese. ‘Pag may potato and cheese, kaya nakaka-survive siya.”
In Princess and I, Kathryn plays a long-lost princess of Bhutan who grew up in Manila and finds love in three men (played by Enrique, Daniel Padilla, and Khalil Ramos).
“Si Kath sobrang iba kay Mara (her character in Mara Clara). [Sa series], siya iyong super outgoing, makulit na kenkoy na taga-Sampaloc. Ako naman medyo iba iyong accent, iba iyong tindig kasi parang prince-like dapat.”
Kaibigan, usap tayo muli!
