And so, walang Dingdong na magho-host ng Survivor Philippines 3. Maaaring na-consider siya ng GMA management, pero malamang, isa sa dahilan ng hindi pagkakatuloy nito ay Endless Love ang talagang original plan for him, bukod pa sa magiging busy ito sa shooting ng new movie with Marian Rivera.
SAMANTALA, NAKAPAG-PICTORIAL NA noong March 3 si Dingdong with Marian for his new romantic comedy movie under Regal Entertainment and GMA Films na wala pang title.
“I am compelled and driven to share my sentiments with you about the upcoming movie of Dingdong and Marian. I understand the movie is expected to shoot during the months of March and April this year.
“In addition, it is going to be shown shortly after that to quench the thirst of many of their followers waiting for their team-up once again onscreen.
“When I read this, I had mixed emotions. I was ecstatic to the point we will see them again onscreen but also very apprehensive and disappointed to what seems to be a movie project done in a hasty mode.
“The fans allegedly are clamoring for their much awaited return onscreen. No doubt we certainly are. But to rush a movie project? No way in hell. That is a disgrace to Dingdong and Marian and most of all an insult to us their avid followers.
“We are very excited and very much optimistic to see our royal couple back onscreen but to rush a movie project and use the fans as excuse is so lame and so unfair. I don’t mean to sound too ostentatious.
“May I remind you that many of their followers are successful professionals in their own respective fields. We can decipher a quality project from a lousy one. In short, Dingdong and Marian and all their supporters deserve nothing but a good quality and well thought out movie project.
“I appeal to your senses and influence. Please convey our sentiments to GMA and Regal and to Mark Reyes as well as Dingdong/Marian. We want a quality comeback movie project for them. We can and will wait patiently. If lessons were learned from the past, a very good promo is indeed a big factor that should be considered.
“Take some tips from ABS-CBN. The public knows and are much smarter. We want those involved in this movie project to hear our voices and know how we feel. All we ask for is to give our primetime’s first couple a much deserved project that we can be proud of.”
