We cannot speak the same for GMA, na matagal na palang in-email ang imbitasyon para sa kanilang press party next week. So, are we invited? Sorry, we couldn’t care less.
STAR CINEMA’S One More Try is Dingdong Dantes’s fourth movie with ABS-CBN’s film arm. Una rito ang two parts ng Kimidora at nasundan ng last year’s Metro Manila film fest entry na Segunda Mano.
OMT — a modern family drama under the direction of Ruel S. Bayani — is Dingdong’s MMFF entry this year, this time with three of ABS-CBN’s most prized possessions, sina Angel Locsin, Zanjoe Marudo at Angelica Panganiban.
At the same time, mukhang ang OMT na ang hudyat ng ‘di na muling paggawa ni Dingdong ng mga proyekto sa nasabing produksiyon given his GMA affiliation.
Samantala, OMT boasts of many firsts. This is direk Ruel’s first time to field an entry to the festival. Unang pagkakataon ding makatrabaho ni Angel ang director with whom, back in their stint with GMA, she would have chance encounters on the set.
First time din ni Angel na makatrabaho sina Dingdong, Zanjoe at Angelica. Another first is Zanjoe’s taking the all-out serious drama plunge on the wide screen. Admittedly, Zanjoe considers OMT as his biggest, most challenging project as an actor.
