The Aswang Chronicles, like SM North Edsa, SM Megamall, Gateway, Robinson’s Galleria, etc.
“I’m so happy and honored dahil tinanggap ng mga tao ang pinaghirapan naming pelikula nang halos dalawang taon,” sabi ni Dingdong. As I said, we want to entertain the Filipino audience at ipagmalaki na kaya ng Pinoy na gumawa ng ganitong klaseng pelikula.”
Ilan pa sa mga celebrities spotted sina: Jolina Magdangal and musician-husband Mark Escueta, basketball superstar James Yap, FDCP chairman Briccio Santos, Gabby Eigenmann, Carl Guevarra, Benjamin Alvez, Sheree and Gian Magdangal, Paolo Paraiso, Marvin Agustin, at Tim Yap.
Sumuporta rin sina Eugene Domingo, Bobby Andrews, Michael Flores, Rochelle Pangilinan and boyfriend Arthur Solinap, Malou Choa-Fagar, Alden Richards, John Lapus, Carlo Gonzalez and girlfriend Luanne Dy, and directors Ruel Bayani and Mark Reyes.
Na-surprise din si Lovi nang umapir ang MTRCB Chief Grace Poe-Llamanzares at ang say nito, “Tiktik has the feel of a Tarantino-Rodriguez film with state-of-the-art special effects!”
STILL ON Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles, bukod sa pagiging blockbuster nito’y umaani rin ito ng magagandang film reviews mula sa ilang mga kritiko.
Ang resident critic ng lifestyle portal na ClickTheCity.com na si Philbert Ortiz Dy ay na-impress sa bonggang performance ng buong cast, with special mention to Dingdong na nag-invest ng time, effort, and hard-earned money niya para sa pelikula.
“Dingdong Dantes is really exceptional in roles that call for more of an edge,” rebyu ni Dy.
“He excels at being standoffish, at having more confidence than a human should reasonably possess. The film makes great use of Dantes’ particular talents, and it makes for a very enjoyable performance. Lovi Poe does a fine job overall. Janice de Belen and Joey Marquez are dynamite in the picture, with Marquez in particular stealing the entire movie in one hilariously twisted scene.”
Isa pang online review mula sa Summit Publications: “(Dingdong) Dantes is effective as the unfailing protagonist; you’ll root for him. Lovi Poe does her best not-so-distressed damsel with great dusky appeal. The beating heart of the movie is director Erik Matti and his twisted and macabre sense of humor. The film goes to dark, violent places and asks people to laugh along. It is a genuinely unique vision that people really ought to see.”
