MERE COINCIDENCE lang kaya that Becky Aguila’s artists Valerie Concepcion, Jennylyn Mercado, and Empress Shuck share the same fate with their respective love lives?
It was Valerie who first got pregnant, sinundan ni Jennylyn, and now here comes Empress by her childhood friend named Vino.
Tuloy, hindi maiwasang mapag-usapan ang dating alaga ni Becky na si Angel Locsin, na mabuti na lang daw ay matagal nang wala sa poder nito, otherwise she would have joined the manager’s growing list of wards na nabubuntis out of wedlock.
Still another joke is going around: Becky is now the fertility goddess, if not the living Santa Clara pinung-pino of Obando, Bulacan na hindi na kailangan pang alayan ng itlog. Magpa-manage lang daw sa kanya, tiyak na mabubuntis ka!
Of course, this innuendo is unfair to Becky. Sinong manager would wish an untimely pregnancy upon her artist? Wala naman.
Nagkataon nga lang na ill-timed ang pagdadalan-tao ni Empress whose career has been resurrected via a GMA soap. Kasasalo lang sa kanya ng GMA, ‘eto’t mukhang mababakante na naman siya nang matagal to think that Empress is not a big star at all.
“Pero mabuti na ring magpahinga muna si Empress hanggang sa makapanganak siya,” hirit ng isang make-up artist na nakausap namin, “Isinusuka naming mga make-up artist ang hitad na ‘yan, ‘no! Maldita! Akala mo kung sinong sikat!”
In fairness though to Empress, baka naman ang pagmamaldita niyang ‘yon ay senyales ng paglilihi. If so, give it to her.
