Lagi kang nasa langit kahit alam mong nasa lupa ka. But when is the right time to fall in love? 14, 15 or 35? Ano nga bang alam ng umiibig tungkol sa pag-ibig?
These are some of the issues that are discussed by the new series Katorse which stars Erich Gonzalez, Enchong Dee, Ejay Falcon and Xian Lim. Kuwento ito ni Nene (played by Erich) na sa murang edad ay mararanasan ang tamis at pait ng unang pag-ibig.
Katorse is Erich’s biggest break in the acting department. She won in the Star Circle National Teen Quest where I was one of the jurors together with Ms. Gloria Diaz and Direk Lauren Dyogi. Her life made a 360 degree turn after that. Ngayon, siya na ang bagong mukha ng Katorse na unang pinagbidahan sa pelikula ni Ms. Dina Bonnevie.
Erich admits that she has mixed emotions but she is grateful for the trust given to her by ABS-CBN. She extensively prepared for her role by attending sensuality workshops which she needed for her intimate scenes in the series. Ibang Erich ang mapapanood sa Katorse. As the young and carefree Nene, she is required to show some skin to realistically portray her role na isang “nene”.
Unlike in the original movie, the television adaptation has three Romeos who will fight for the love of a girl whose romantic tryst resulted in teenage pregnancy. Mas mahirap hulaan who ends up with who. Will it be the wild and rebellious Gabby (Ejay), the responsible and considerate Albert (Xian) or the reliable but egocentric Jojo (Enchong)?
Erich perfectly sums up what we can expect from Katorse: ito ay isang kuwento na may tatlong P’s – Pag-ibig, Paninindigan at Pananagutan.
