SOBRANG THANKFUL SI Gab Valenciano for a wonderful 2009. Sa sariling pagsisikap, binigyang-halaga ang galing niya bilang “Best New Male Artist” sa nakaraang 22nd Aliw Awards. Isa rin siyang record at music producer, musical arranger, dancer, choreographer, musician, product endorser, actor at TV host. Bukod dito, regular din siyang nagtuturo sa Power Mac Center sa mga latest software ng music production.
Right now, excited si Gab sa gagawin niyang album, major project for 2010. “Of course, the album… my Mom has a meeting with Universal Records. My first plan is to colaborate with all the UR, you and I, parang ganu’n. I make, you sing, I make, you perform. So, what’s gonna happen? The whole album it’s gonna be produced, arranged, remade, revived whatever by me. I’m gonna have two songs na kakantahin ko rin which I don’t do. Of course, with my Dad’s support and Billy Crawford, idol na idol ko siya.
“For all this years, I’m trying to make a name for myself, to step out of the shadow… and now, it’s slowly but surely happening. Next year, were planning two movies, dance movies. We don’t have a dance movie kasi, we don’t have a serious dance movie pero Pilipino version na ala-West Side Story,” kuwento ni Mr. Pure Power.
Kinumusta namin kay Gab ang relationship nila ni Rachelle Ann Go kung naayos na ang gusot sa kanilang dalawa. “Right now, I’m proud to say that we’re able to keep the friendship. At first, parang… siyempre, we just broke-up in public, everybody saw it, ang dami pang complication. One day, we realize tama na, ang daming issues na lumabas, a couple of months ago. Hindi rin maganda for her, sino ba naman ang matutuwa sa issue na ‘yun? I don’t wanna say it. One day, I’ve texted her, ‘Hey, are you free to talk?’ Nag-reply naman siya and she said, yes! Nag-usap kami, we we’re able to patch things up, make things clear and now I can easilly text her and say, congratulations sa Awit Awards, you know. And also, when we broke-up kasi, we make a deal na if ever anything bad happens between us, we have to keep it to ourselves, kasi sayang talaga. My friendship with Rachelle is to precious na bibitawan lang,” pahayag niya.
Siyempre, curious kami kung ano talaga ang dahilan ng break-up nila ni Rachel. Pilit naming pinasagot si Gab. “Many things. Right people, wrong time. We’re both not ready in a mature kind of way and personality, and also the time. We were seeing each other, hatid-sundo. Sometimes pagdating niya, umalis na ako, ‘yung mga ganu’n. We don’t have much time for each other and it’s frustrating to the point na nag-away kami, you know, it’s frustrating, ‘di ba? But if you are talking about third party or anybody like that, falling out of love, whatever you gonna call it, not at all. Rachelle was an unexpected surprise in 2008, hindi ko akalain na mangyayari,” paliwanag ng binata.
Si Rachelle Ann na kaya babaeng gustong pakasalan ni Gab, if ever na magkabalikan uli sila? “Rachelle is a very special person. It should be unfair to her, especially after how much I told you guys, I care about her. It would be unfair if told you, hindi siya. Ang masasabi ko, may posibility to be her. If you ask me if I’d like it be her,” seryosong sabi pa niya.
May tsikang nakitang may date si Gab after his split-up with Rachelle Ann, how true? “What I’ve remember Ruffa (Gutierrez) said is Nikki Guevara, my ex-girlfriend. Nikki is so close to the family, she’s actually the best friend of my best cousin and when I see her, I see a friend. Ilang beses na sinasabi ng mga friends ko, why don’t you try going back to Nikki? Hindi talaga! You can never say, Nikki is out of my life now, it’s finished,” paglilinaw na turan ni Mr. Pure Power.
