BALITANG NASA Amerika ngayon si Gabby Concepcion whose nth wife just gave birth, yes, to another baby girl. This brings to five the number of Gabby’s kids, all girls: sina KC, Garrie (with Grace Ibuna), Cloie (with Jenny Syquia) at dalawa pa.
Kung kailan naman nasa US ang aktor, siya namang pagdating sa bansa ni Cloie who wants to follow in the footsteps of her dad and elder sis KC: ang pumasok na rin sa showbiz.
Last year nang narito sa bansa ang mag-inang Jenny at Cloie, but the latter had to go back to Beijing (China) in pursuit of her language studies. Her stay here, however, allows her to continue her school via an online program.
Concepcion ang gagamitin ni Cloie for her screen name although legally, she has assumed her Swedish stepdad’s name Skarne.
Pero kahit milya-milya ang distansiya ni Gabby, ani Cloie, there’s no way that her father will not get wind of her stay in Manila. Hudyat ‘yon ng isang anak who last saw her dad when she was just one year old.
Nakalulungkot that all this time—kung paniniwalaan namin ang confession ni Cloie—that Gabby has made no effort para makipag-ugnayan sa kanya. Despite the paternal absence, Cloie finds comfort in the sisterly company of KC and Garrie.
Sinasadya na rin kaya ni Gabby to be incommunicado sa kanyang mga anak since three of them have assumed their respective stepfathers’ last names? Pangilinan na si KC, Javier naman si Garrie, and Cloie is Skarne.
Even then, what’s in a name? Dugo’t laman pa rin ni Gabby ang mga magagandang babaeng ‘yon who have unmistakably inherited their dad’s features.
