Describing Manila as “gates of hell” and then reasoning that “it’s fiction” is just but a wealthy display of his IDIOCY.
Tama ang respetadong writer na si Al Pedroche in his view of this Dan Brown brouhaha. The controversial author conveniently forgot that there exists a city called MANILA, so how can his work be a FICTION?
Hindi inimbento ni Dan ang word na Manila to call it a fiction. Of course, lalong hindi rin niya inimbento ang kahirapan, karahasan at krimen na nagaganap sa capital city ng Pilipinas, although may exaggerations ang kanyang narrative.
Nakatatawa na merong writers na bumibili ng “it’s fiction” reasoning ni Dan Brown. Hindi raw dapat umalma ang mga Pinoy dahil Dan’s work is a fiction naman.
Tanga ba ang writers na ito? Obviously, hindi nila alam ang difference ng fiction at non-fiction.
They believe it’s a fiction pero naniniwala sila sa mga nasulat sa novel ni Dan about Manila. Do they make sense here?
Dan’s “it’s only a fiction” reasoning is just an ALIBI, a FLIMSY EXCUSE, something which tells very much of him. This American author is certainly an IMBECILE because he is passing off his work as a FICTION when clearly it is NOT.
What if somebody describes America as a country of criminals where even kids get involved in mass killings and say that his work is just but a FICTION, hindi kaya umalma ang Amerika?
We have a feeling that what his character experienced in Manila was a true account.
Bagama’t may katotohanan ang mga nasulat sa libro ni Dan about Manila, hindi naman dapat na sabihin niyang FICTION lamang ang lahat at ang pagkakatulad sa mga tao, pagkakataon ay nagkataon lamang.
He should be BRAVE enough to say that what transpired in his book is a true experience.
Calling Manila as “gates of hell” is a reckless INSULT to the Filipino sensibilities.
