IN A virginal white lace dress, sinadyang isuot ‘yon ni Heart Evangelista sa January 31 episode ng Startalk exactly 15 days before she would become Mrs. Love Maie Ongpauco-Escudero. ‘Yun din ang kanyang huling live hosting sa nasabing programa until she returns for the February 28 episode.
As already known to the public, Heart and Senator Chiz will exchange their I do’s on the breathtaking Balesin Island on February 15, isang araw makaraan ng 30th birthday ng expectant bride. As we write this, hindi pa dumarating ang isusuot niyang Monique Lhuillier bridal gown, pero ang pamalit niyang kasuotan from Dubai designed by Ezra Santos (a personal friend ng inyong lingkod from way, way back) ay nasa kahon na.
Even more sadly, her mom and dad cannot make it to her wedding. Almost in tears, Heart told Startalk, “Pero tanggap ko na that I’ll just walk alone. But I believe in my heart na darating ‘yung time na magiging maayos na ang lahat.”
Days before the wedding, aligaga pa rin ang couple-to-be in having their thank you cards printed in advance.
And speaking of cards, simple yet classy ang ipinamigay nilang personalized invitation sa Manila cocktail and dinner reception three days after their Balesin wedding.
The slightly beige-colored envelope—once opened ay may mensaheng “but the greatest of these is love”—ay naglalaman ng sketch ng lugar ng pagdarausan (The BLue Leaf Filipinas sa Aseana City sa Parañaque), isang RSVP card at ang mismong paanyaya.
With embossed gold scallop trimmings on both sides, halatang ginastusan din ‘yon nang mahal ng would-be couple.
At ang nakata-touch, since Heart is part of Startalk, lahat ng staff nito—regardless of position—ay may imbitasyon with their printed names, take note.
