But once you get to know Rima, you will discover that she is more than that. She is smart, cool and talks a lot of sense.
By profession, isa siyang personal shopper sa isang kilalang lifestyle hub. Lumaki siya sa Lebanon, spending at least 10 years of her childhood there. She went back to the Philippines when she reached high school.
Masarap kausap si Rima dahil marunong siyang magsalita ng limang lengguwahe: Pilipino, English, Spanish, French at Arabic. “I was schooled formally in Arabic and French. We speak English at home. While I learned Spanish informally from my mom,” sabi ni Rima.
That’s when I realized that he wasn’t just an actor. He had me when he told me he has this social cause,” kuwento ni Rima. Since she loves kids it only took Diet to say the magic words “children’s foundation” to make her fall in love with him. If Jerry Maguire had Dorothy Boyd with his hello, Diet had Rima with his K.I.D.S. Foundation.
Pero kahit mahigit isang taon na silang magkasintahan ay matagal pa raw bago sila magpakasal although she confessed that they have already talked about marriage and kids. “There are still a lot of things we want to do for ourselves especially with the K.I.D.S. Foundation. We want it to go global.” Wasn’t Diet once quoted as saying that he wanted to have a dozen kids? Sinabi naman ni Rima that she only wants to have 2-3 kids.
Rima wants to try hosting. “Gusto kong mag-host ng lifestyle shows dahil may background ako sa retail. I love talking a lot. I can discuss anything, everything under the sun. I can gel with any group. To me everybody deserves attention. I have a very cheery personality and I am very friendly. Hindi ako maarte. I may be makikay but I can be very cowboy too.”
She has done a few modeling stints during high school and college habang siya ay abala sa mga extracurricular activities with socio-political inclinations from joining debate teams and student councils to contributing for her high school paper and conducting lectures on leadership and teaching French.
“Acting is for a certain kind of people. I don’t think I’m fit to be an actress so I don’t find myself interested in acting.
