JAKE CUENCA WAS interviewed by Ruffa Gutierrez when he guested on The Buzz. He is one of the hottest and most bankable leading men of his generation. Jake played diverse roles in several ABS-CBN shows like Sana Maulit Muli, Natutulog Ba Ang Diyos, Lastikman and Palos.
Kinakitaan uli si Jake ng kanyang kahusayan sa pag-arte sa top-rating primetime teleserye na Tayong Dalawa where he plays David Garcia, Jr. Many were surprised when his character was unexpectedly “killed” in the series. It was later revealed that David was still alive but was captured and tortured by the rebels. Marami ang pinahanga ni Jake in his convincing portrayal sa kanyang torture scenes. Sinabi niya na pinaghandaan niyang mabuti ang mga eksenang ito.
Ruffa asked Jake about the car shooting incident that happened in front of his house in Mandaluyong City. Jake’s Ford Expedition was stoned and shot by unidentified men while it was parked outside his residence. The police has already filed a report about the incident. Sinabi ni Jake na ayaw niyang ilagay sa kapahamakan ang kanyang pamilya. His parents who are based in Valencia, Spain are worried for his safety.
Hindi rin maiiwasan na mapag-usapan ang lovelife ni Jake during the interview. He was linked to Bea Alonzo after his breakup with Roxanne Guinoo. Bakit nga ba naudlot ang kanyang panliligaw kay Bea? He said, “I understand that we have to prioritize our careers.” He is now allegedly courting young actress Melissa Ricks. Sinasabing tatlong beses daw nagpadala ng mga regalo gaya ng roses at pagkain si Jake kay Melissa. “I appreciate the friendship I have with Melissa,” he enthused.
