Kuwento niya sa amin last Sunday sa inauguration ng tatay niyang si Mayor Erap sa Maynila, “I’m leaving tonight actually, I’m just waiting for my dad’s oath taking ceremony pero I’m leaving tonight.”
Why Singapore? “Kasi it’s closer to home. I find out that my school, my university in London may ka-tie up sa Singapore, so ‘yun closer to home, mas madaling umuwi, mas madaling tumulong sa daddy ko.”
Nanalo man ang ama, inamin ni Jake na nahirapan sila sa kampanya last election. “Yeah. But at the same time, ito na rin yung most rewarding talaga, pinaghirapan namin ‘to. Mahirap talaga yung pinagdaanan namin, it was an uphill battle, to be up against an incumbent mayor, a popular mayor. Kaya worth it lahat.”
Last week, umugong ang balitang may namagitan daw diumano between him and Coleen Garcia. “Si Coleen…. a, there’s nothing between us, she’s close to Jolo who is my nephew, Kuya Jinggoy’s son. And I just mtet her through Jolo. We went out a couple of times as a group. I mean, hindi totoo ‘yung mga natsi-tsismis na nanliligaw ako or whatsoever, wala ‘yun, wala ‘yun.”
Noong nakaraang lingo, nag-tweet ang ex-girlfriend ni Jake na si Andi Eigenman ng mensaheng may nakasaad na ganito: “I am happy for @unoemilio (Jake’s twitter account) and coleen. Hope things work out between the both of you.”
“I think ano ‘yun e, it was misinterpreted lang because I went to Showtime with a few friends, and then na-ano lang siguro naniwala sa tsismis. But there were… no there was nothing more to it. We just went there to enjoy the show.”
Nililigawan nga ba niya ang It’s Showtime co-host? “No, no, not at all. Not at all.”
“First of all, I would like to clarify that any statement or interview aired by the media prior to this statement is totally unreliable as this is my FIRST and ONLY statement relative to what happened last Thursday.
“While my husband is still recovering from his injuries, his family and I would like to personally appeal to everybody to please grant us some much needed privacy as we go through this difficult time.
“As to what transpired last June 27, my husband Benjo assured me that he himself would address all of you regarding the matter when he is fit to do so. What I can relay to you however is that the reason behind the incident are the advocacies he strongly believes in as relayed to me by Benjo last Saturday.
“For now, we plead that you reserve both conclusions and judgments until after an official statement is issued by my husband.
“Meanwhile, I would just like to say with certainty that whatever reasons surrounded this misfortune, they do not include any reasons stemming from our relationship as a married couple. In spite of our recent differences, we still continue to love each other. We have vowed to remain committed to each other and to support one another as we weather this storm together.
“Lastly, our families humbly ask that you offer prayers for his speedy recovery.
“Thank you very much.”
Sure na ‘to
