Talagang it’s within us.
Pagmamalaki niya, “RESCUE5 is going to have its own show very soon. We’re going to show that what we do in RESCUE5 is the real thing.
“This is not a race, this is not a game. This is real stuff that the news organization puts its resources behind; and not just the news organization, but the entire network of MVP because they’re fully supportive of this.
“We see RESCUE5 getting bigger. We already have permission to expand the number of rubber boats, number of equipment. We want to train our rescuers in more rescue stuff that they can do. For example, I expect them to go into fire situation. We’re getting international accreditations from all over so that we can participate in rescue efforts even outside of the country.
“We see RESCUE5 gets bigger and bigger. You know, sikat na sikat ngayon ang reality show but there’s nothing like reality that you see in news. This is real life and NEWS5 is equipped, through RESCUE5, to actually conduct rescue operations.”
Pagmamalaki niya, “So we (NEWS5) have now — Radyo Singko, InterAksyon, Aksyon TV, WIN and TV5 — five platforms. And pretty soon we’re gonna have our own English news channel. We’re putting together an English news channel, [although] we just don’t have a name for it yet. And that’s going to be our 6th platform. This is how committed the company is to this news organization.
Meron na kaya itong channel assignment?
Sagot ni Miss Luchi, “Wala pa, wala pa. But we’re already crafting… I mean we have a TO [table of organization] already, we have a program grid already. It should be up and running by first quarter of 2013, that’s the target. Pero ano pa lang ha, save-in, kasi ‘yung full operations will begin when we move to Reliance.”
Magha-hire ba sila ng additional people exclusive to this channel?
Sagot nito, “Definitely, oo. But not just exclusive, we’ll also tap to the resources of existing NEWS5. But kukuha ka talaga ng ibang tao kasi business ‘yun, e. Ibang klase rin ang business reporting.”
Ang magiging head daw ng English news channel according to Miss Luchi is, “Si Twink [Macaraig]. That’s something to look forward to. Abangan nila ‘yon.”
Sure na ‘to
