Isang malaking karangalan para sa Pilipinas ang mapabilang sa mga kalahok sa prestihiyosong 37th International Emmy Awards. According to the net, the Emmy “is a television production award, similar in nature to the Peabody Awards but more focused on entertainment, and is considered the television equivalent to the Academy Awards (for film), Grammy Awards (for music) and Tony Awards (for stage).” The winners will be announced on November 23, 2009 at a Black-Tie Ceremony hosted by UK television star Graham Norton at the Hilton New York Hotel.
ABS-CBN’s Angel Locsin, the teleserye Kahit Isang Saglit and GMA 7’s Magdusa Ka were declared as official nominees. Angel is nominated under the Best Performance by an Actress category para sa kanyang napakahusay na pagganap bilang she-wolf sa Lobo, ang kanyang unang primetime series sa ABS-CBN. Patuloy ang pagpasok ng suwerte kay Angel matapos umani ng tagumpay ang Lobo sa Telenovela category ng 30th BANFF World Television Awards sa Canada.
The more I get to know Angel, the more I appreciate her. She is a beautiful young lady inside and out. Angel’s name truly befits her kind-hearted persona. Maraming beses nang pinatunayan ni Angel ang kagandahan ng kanyang kalooban. She continuously touches the hearts of many Filipinos with her good deeds – mula sa mga kabataan hanggang sa grupong Gabriela at sa mga nasalanta ng bagyong Ondoy at Pepeng.
JERICHO ROSALES IS also in high spirits because his teleserye Kahit Isang Saglit opposite Malaysian actress-model Carmen Soo is nominated under the Telenovela category. The television project is a joint venture of ABS-CBN and Malaysia’s Double Vision. Gusto raw um-attend ni Echo ng Emmy Awards kahit magbalikan siya just to experience the event. Hindi raw dapat pinapalampas ang ganitong klase ng pagkakataon. Direk Jerry Lopez Sineneng also wants to attend the awarding ceremony and he dedicates this achievement to the late Manong Gilbert Perez who was the show’s first director.
