JERICHO ROSALES is enjoying an exciting showbiz career. He is back from Los Angeles where Alagwa, his indie movie about human trafficking, was screened at the Newport Beach Film Festival. He attended the film’s premiere and red carpet events at The Triangle Square Cinema in Costa Mesa, California. He first participated in 2011 with his movie Subject: I Love You.
Umani ng mga papuri si Echo because he was cited for Outstanding Acting Achievement at the filmfest together with Michael Shannon (for the movie The Iceman) and Onata Aprile (What Maisie Knew).
Kuwento niya sa The Buzz, “Ang galing lang ng nangyari sa trip na ito, kasi I met people who wanted to work with me, who expressed interest na magtrabaho kami. They actually gave me some scripts to look at and they wanted me to develop the scripts with them. I was like, ang galing naman. Hanep naman itong trip na ito.”
Walang duda that Echo is one of the best young actors of his generation.
“Well iyon ang idea. And I was able to meet writers, directors. It’s not easy kasi you have to be there. The best talaga is to tape your shows here and then fly for two months [to the US] and meet new people naman.”
“Of course, for the industry may pangarap ako. Hopefully, indie filmmakers like me don’t have to travel abroad to get noticed sa Pilipinas. I just pray na we don’t have to go out of the country to make movies na talagang magaganda.”
Echo is a good guy. I am happy for him. Let’s all hope and pray na maganda ang kahinatnan ng lahat para kay Echo.
Kaibigan, usap tayo muli!
