She topbilled the primetime series Maria Mercedes, which according to her, was a dream come true.
Maliban sa kanyang teleserye, she was also appointed by the Korean Tourism Organization (KTO) bilang Honorary Ambassador for Korean Tourism.
She is scheduled to do a movie with John Lloyd Cruz, Gretchen Barretto, and Richard Gomez sa direksyon ni Chito Roño.
“I’m really excited and nervous at the same time. He (Roño) was really particular with my look na parang sinasabi niya na, ‘Naku, wala munang kulot ngayon and pulang lipstick.
“Sabi ni Direk Chito, he wants to see a different side of me. Ngayon, sobrang different. Ibang-iba sa Maria Mercedes na nakasanayan.”
What could the audience expect from her new role? Sagot ni Jessy, “It’s a mature role. It’s not sexy. Mature in a sense that mature din iyong topic, issues, and storyline namin. It’s very sensitive and very out-of-the-box. Iyon ang dapat nilang abangan. It’s a tragic family love story.”
Kaibigan, usap tayo muli!
