SA IKATLONG pagkakataon, muling nakipaglaban si Joey Albert sa sakit na colon cancer.
Una siyang na-diagnose with cervical cancer noong 1995 at naging cancer survivor siya.
Noon 2003, na-diagnose naman siyang may colon cancer at muli siya naka-survive sa pamamagitan ng operasyon.
Nitong January 2015, muling bumalik ang naturang cancer at inoperahan siya last March.
Sa kanyang Facebook account, sine-share ni Joey ang kanyang mga pinagdaanan at hindi siya nawawalan ng pag-asa na gagaling. Hindi rin nawawala ang tiwala niya sa Panginoon.
“Time is the most important thing in life, not money, not career… nothing, time talaga.
“Scared and disappointed because I really thought that the last time was the last na. And I do get scared still if you really think about the longevity of your life here, the realization you’re as strong as you think you are.
“But I do try to keep positive because I feel it’s really the best medicine. I think if I lend myself to all this fear. I’ll slip.
“I share my battle, my journey with people, first of all, I need prayers and I’m not gonna pretend I don’t need help because I do.
“And the other thing also. I feel that if I share my journey, there might be other people going through the same thing and I might be able to inspire para naman may purpose ang pagkakasakit ko.”
