ISA ANG tambalan nina John Lloyd Cruz at Bea Alonzo sa mga pinakamatagumpay at kinakikiligang love teams sa bansa. They look good together and they have great chemistry onscreen kahit pa sabihing wala naman silang relasyon sa totoong buhay.
Patok ang mga proyektong kanilang pinagbidahan mapa-pelikula man o telebisyon. Sa big screen, nariyan ang My First Romance, Now That I Have You, All About Love, Close to You, One More Chance at Miss You Like Crazy samantalang napanood natin sila sa mga teleseryeng Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay, It Might Be You, Ikaw ang Lahat sa Akin, Maging Sino Ka Man at I Love Betty La Fea. Hindi ba’t parang kailan lang when we first saw them together in Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay where they played Yuri Orbida and Katrina Argos? Now they are already celebrating their 10th anniversary as a loveteam.
Sabi nga ni Lloydy, “Sampung taon iyon. Meron kang familiar na kabatuhan ng emotions. For the past 10 years, itong taong ito iyong ka-share ko sa acting space ko. Humuhugot din ako sa kanya [ng emotions]. Kung tatanungin mo ako kung gaano ka-instrumental si Bea sa aking naging career as an actor, malaking part siya sa success ko.”
To celebrate their 10th year as a love team, muli natin silang mapapanood sa isang naiibang pagganap sa pelikulang The Mistress which also stars Hilda Koronel and Ronaldo Valdez. The movie is directed by Olivia Lamasan under Star Cinema and will be shown in theaters starting September 12.
Bukod sa kanilang inaabangang pagbabalik-tambalan, we will be seeing a more mature and daring Bea in the movie. She is required to have kissing and love scenes with Ronaldo who plays her benefactor. Incidentally, Ronaldo played Bea’s father in I Love Betty La Fea.
To make their love story more complicated in The Mistress, Lloydy will enter the picture when Bea’s character is already committed to a married man. Will Bea remain a mistress or will she give Lloydy a space in her heart? Iyan ang dapat nating abangan sa pelikula.
Kuwento ni Direk Olive, “The first [time] we pitched this to Bea, ang una naming sinabi sa kanya, ‘Are you willing to accept a role that’s mature at iyong kuwento ay mas adult?’ I also asked her how far she was willing to go for this role because may mga ganitong eksena. May mga sensitive scenes na gagawin iyong character niya. Then she said that it depended on the intentions of the scene. But wala akong naging problema sa kanya. She was willing to do more than what I asked of her. Bea is a revelation. I’m so happy for her. Natutuwa ako na talagang she accepted the challenge.”
Kaibigan, usap tayo muli!
