BOX-OFFICE KING JOHN Lloyd Cruz is excited for his upcoming movie with Star for All Seasons and Batangas Governor Vilma Santos and Luis Manzano. The movie is directed by Olivia Lamasan under Star Cinema. John Lloyd will shot some scenes in New York City. “I’m very excited. I think doble na iyong excitement ngayon. Iyong kaba is just the same.”
He has played diverse roles in the past but he considers this role as the biggest and most challenging he has done as an actor. “Coming from mga love story parang it’s very refreshing na makita ako ng mga sumusuporta sa akin sa ganitong klaseng pelikula,” he said.
John Lloyd and Luis have prepared extensively for this movie. They attended workshops and characterization exercises with Direk Olive and Direk Laurice Guillen. “Feeling ko, marami kaming baon papunta sa New York. Kami ni Ate Vi wala pa kaming nagagawang preparation together, kasi ang gusto namin ni Inang that since unang beses kong makikita at makakatrabaho si Ate Vi at ganoon din kasi iyong character ko kaya gusto namin doon na mangyari iyon.”
In spite of the pressure and expectations, John Lloyd is still grateful for the wonderful opportunity given to him. “Siyempre bihira naman iyong nabibigyan ng chance na makatrabaho sina Governor Vi at Direk Olive. Tapos mangyayari pa sa napakagandang city like New York. I couldn’t be happier and more grateful na sa akin napunta itong opportunity,” he enthused.
