Sabi nga ng kanta ni Rey Valera, “Kay sarap ng may minamahal. Ang daigdig ay may kulay at buhay.” Hindi ba’t totoo namang it’s nice to have someone who makes you smile and fall in love over and over again? Bato na lang ang puso ng taong hindi sasang-ayon dito.
After the wedding of Drew Arellano and Iya Villania last January 31, two celebrity couples have recently announced their engagement and altar date.
Una rito si Aiza Seguerra who proposed to her girlfriend Liza Diño. Nangyari ang wedding proposal sa UP Faculty Center Theater (Teatro Hermogenes Ylagan) at the University of the Philippines in Diliman. Magkasama ang dalawa sa Kung Paano Maghiwalay, a Carlos Palanca Award-winning screenplay staged in celebration of the 55th anniversary of the Department of Speech Communication and Theater Arts.
Walang kaalam-alam si Liza that the last scene of the play will be a surprise wedding proposal for her. Aiza gave her a blue sapphire ring. Masigabong palakpakan ang ibinigay sa kanila ng mga manonood to congratulate them.
Meanwhile, Karylle announced her marriage to Spongecola vocalist Yael Yuzon (her boyfriend of three years) in a recent episode of It’s Showtime.
“Not a lot of people know, some three and a half years ago, a new chapter in my life started – the happiest and most exciting one yet. I started as a hurado here in Showtime and I became part of the Showtime family at kakambal po nito, dumating si Yael sa buhay ko,” she said.
“It was a sunny afternoon, guest pa ako dati sa Pilipinas Win-Na-Win, at kumain kami sa Mister Kebab kasi mahilig po ako sa kanin at after that we had coffee. And sinagot ko siya.”
She then enumerated the lessons she learned from her It’s Showtime family. In the end, Karylle revealed, “Next month, we wed and the new chapter begins.” Karylle’s male co-hosts serenaded her with a medley of romantic songs with a video montage of the couple’s pictures.
