GINULAT NI KC Concepcion ang lahat nang mapanood siya sa sikat at award-winning na American morning talk show na The View. Na-bigyan siya ng chance na maipamalas ang kanyang husay sa pagho-host when she did a spiel with Elisabeth Hasselbeck, one of the main anchors of The View.
At maging si KC ay lubos ang kasiyahan because of this once-in-a-lifetime chance given to her.
Paano nga ba napasama si KC sa The View? She was personally handpicked by the producers habang nakapila para maging au-dience member.
Gaano ba kasikat ang The View at ganito na lang ang excitement ng lahat when KC appeared on the show? The View is a recipient of the 2003 Daytime Emmy® Award for “Outstanding Talk Show”. It is one of the hottest and highest-rated talk shows in the US which is produced by the legendary Barbara Walters.
Nag-umpisa itong flop – sadsad ang rating nito in its first two seasons. According to research ay halos wala raw noon nanonood ng The View because viewers could not yet appreciate women talking about anything and everything under the sun gaya ng divorce, love, abortion, law, and elections na sabay-sabay.
The first two gaps of the show ay daldalan lang nang daldalan ng sabay-sabay ang mga hosts. Then, the venerable Barbara Walters will come during the third gap and say, “Wait, let’s talk.”
She is the living saint of broadcast journalists in the world. But do you know that she lisps? She used to cry every night because people were making fun of her. Saturday Night Live used to parody her and called her Baba Wawa. But look at where she is today. She is one of the greatest broadcasters in the world. That’s a classic example of turning a weakness into a strength.
Kaibigan, usap tayo muli!
