Ito ang maitatawag ngayon kay KC Concepcion dahil matapos niyang maging covergirl ng Cosmopolitan Magazine Mexico a few years ago ay kasali naman siya ngayon sa listahan bilang isa sa 25 Sexiest International Actresses You Haven’t Heard Of ng Complex, a New York-based lifestyle and pop culture magazine.
Here is how Complex Magazine described her: “KC Concepcion was born into fame: her father is 80’s heartthrob Gabby Concepcion and her mother is the “Philippine Movie Queen” Sharon Cuneta. KC is basically royalty, but she’s not riding on her mother’s coattails. She’s the UN’s National Ambassador Against Hunger, she starred in the highest grossing Philippine movie in 2008, For the First Time, she released her first album KC and she’s set to host The X Factor Philippines.”
Also included in the list are South Korea’s Kim Tae Hee, Malaysia’s Carmen Soo, and India’s Priyanka Chopra who won the Miss World title in 2000.
It’s nice to see KC again on The Buzz. In her interview ay tinanong siya kung ano ba ang kanyang reaksyon sa pagkakasali niya sa listahan ng Complex Magazine. She enthused, “Thank you but I think iyong sa Complex Magazine is a real surprise because it’s a New York magazine. And hindi ko rin alam kung paano nila ako nakita roon. Parang I feel so proud to be Pinay kasi parang ako lang ang Filipina doon sa list.”
Iiwan ba niya ang bansa kung sakaling ma-discover siya internationally? “Hindi. May tatapusin pa akong teleserye at meron din akong uumpisahang hosting job dito sa ABS-CBN.”
Sa ngayon ay abala si KC sa kanyang mga showbiz projects. She has an upcoming teleserye with Judy Ann Santos and Sam Milby titled Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala at mayroon din siyang bagong album. “We are doing a third album. Ang dami kasing nagre-request. I can’t say the details yet. These days, gusto ko muna mag-concentrate sa work ko,” she said.
What are her future plans? “When I was around 18 hanggang 20s na ako, gumagawa ako ng three-year to five-year plan. Pagdating ko ng 25 and 26, sabi ko wala na akong makita for my future. Tapos talagang nagme-meditate ako, wala talaga. So sabi ko bahala na si Lord.” Sinabi rin ni KC sa The Buzz that she is not getting married any time soon since she is not in a romantic relationship right now.
