TWO MONTHS NA palang living independently si KC Concepcion sa bago niyang condo unit with the blessings of Sharon Cuneta and Sen. Francis ‘Kiko’ Pangilinan. Kailan kaya magpapagawa ng sarili niyang bahay ang dalaga? “Later on na po kapag mayroon na akong partner at saka kapag may plans na akong mag-settle-down, du’n palang ako magbi-build ng house,” turan ng dalaga.
Reaction ni Sharon na you’re living indepedently? “Na over stay nga ako ng 3 years, parang feeling ko at the end of the day, my mom was ready kahit papaano. Kasi, she also wants to convert ‘yung parang place ko sa Wak-Wak to a studio or baking kitchen. It was funny kasi at least my blessing, people can always say things. Before in Paris, may mga pictures pa silang nilabas na parang may party, ganyan. Hindi nila alam, I am 19 years old. It was a surprise party for me, mga friends ko sa theater. People can always say what they want, but I know that I am living a good life in my condo and I feel na living alone making me more responsible. Officially, mga 2 months pa lang po,” say ni KC.
Nakaplano ba ito na you really want to live alone? “I think it’s the most natural choice because it’s hard to live alone on your own, have your system of doing things like ‘yung sa kama, parang ‘yung mga bedsheet ko. Gusto ko, personal preference hanggang tatlong kulay lang. Ayaw ko ‘yung maraming kulay sa kama kasi I want to wake-up organize ‘yung utak ko. Kasi, ‘yung chairs ko iba-iba, very athletic.”
Ilang years pa kaya ang hihintayin ni KC bago sila lumagay sa tahimik ni Piolo Pascual? “For me, nag-I-enjoy pa ako. Funny, we met with clients… endorsement po. One of their question was that. ‘We just want to know lang, are you planning to get married anytime now?’ Tapos, natawa po ta-laga ako, I’m not ready to answer that, for me, it’s really no! I’m still growing, I enjoy… ganito lang po. Feeling ko wala pa naman siya, Piolo, sa part na ‘yun,” mabilis na sagot niya.
Na-surprise si KC nang regaluhan siya ni PJ ng kama para sa bago niyang condo unit. Sa status ngayon ni PJ, puwede na silang magpakasal. He’s 34 and KC is 21. “Ang lalaki naman po parang wine, they get better with age. Crush ko pa nga si Richard Gere noong 21 ako. Ang lolo ko, Pablo Cuneta, 60’s na siya noong naging anak niya si Mama, look what happen, she became a Megastar. I think naman nasa girl ‘yun.”
Contribution ni Papa Gabby Concepcion sa pagiging independent ni KC? “Pinipilit namin ‘yung time na mag-bonding kami. There are things na hindi pa ako comfortable na I-open up na ganu’n-ganu’n lang. We have to spent a lot of time, mag-usap kami nang malalim. Kasi, matagal ka-ming naghiwalay. Nag-uusap kami, katuwaan, books lang, mga ganu’n. I hope you undertstand, ” paliwanag ng singer-actress.
Kung hindi nag-artista si KC, anong profession ang gusto niyang pasukin? “Advertising or corporate so, I’m here and I understand why? Exciting and you can do five different things. No regrets but I do miss it! I do miss ‘yung life ko po roon sa Europe, but I can always go back naman po and I feel blessed.”
How do you feel that your movie with your Dad, hindi kumita sa ta-kilya? “Siyempre, I felt bad because it’s something that you wouldn’t want to happen to someone so special and close to you. Kasi, you’re celebrating the relationshionship. But I think partly why hindi naging effective, siguro po ‘yung piyesa sa movie. Because of the experience like that, I’m thankful. Kasi, if it’s gonna make me a more comfortable actress then, okay lang.”
Is there any plans doing a movie together with your Mom? “Hindi ako makakaarte sa harap ni Mama. Parang after that po, I wouldn’t want to do a movie with someone I had intimate relationship with. Siyempre po, nakaka-trauma pa rin ‘yun, mas doble pa ang pressure. Those are the things that break the ice, hindi ka perfect pala! You realize at the end of the day, parang you have your management to take care of the business side and then ikaw, you just enjoy your work lang,” pagwawakas na sabi ni KC.
