KIKO MATOS is not afraid to show skin sa movies or maging sa stage plays. Kasama sa The Glass Menagerie ang binata, his first stage play.
“I am open to nudity on stage but I am more open on nudity sa film,” say ni Kiko sa amin. Problem is, hindi pala okay sa manager niyang si Mell Navarro na maghubad siya.
“Medyo sensitive si Mell sa nudity. Sa akin, okay lang naman if the script calls for it. It depends on the script,” say ni Kiko sa amin na gumaganap bilang Jim O’connor, the gentleman caller, sa nasabing play.
Okay rin kay Kiko ang man-to-man kissing. Actually, he did it in Edna nang makipaghalikan siya kay Ronnie Lazaro sa isang eksena.
“Depende sa script. If I like the script I don’t see any reason why I should not do it,” sabi niya.
The Glass Menagerie also stars Timmy Cruz, Arnold Reyes, and Michiko Unso with Edith Mandigma as director, Darwin Losing as lighting designer, Jerold Igharas as production manager, Kheaneth Ballovar as stage manager and William Guillermo as technical director. It is a production of the Actor’s Repertory Theater and Thinktalk Creative Communication.
