HINDI PA rin naman nawawala ang comedy flair ni Leo Martinez and he will display this in great abundance sa Gangster Lolo where he plays Asiong Salonpas kasama ang senior citizen criminals na sina Bembol Roco, Rez Cortez, Pen Medina, Soxie Topacio and Boy Alano.
All in the cast are competent performers, walang hindi nakaaarte kaya naman tiyak na kuwela ang mga eksena.
The movie revolves around a syndicate (grupo ni Leo) na engaged sa holdapan at nakawan. Nang pagnakawan nila ang isang jewelry shop, napalpak sila dahil nahuli sila except Boy Alano. Since si Boy ang pinagsususpetsahang nagtago ng mga nanakaw nila, tinugis siya ng leader ng kanilang sindikato. Nagawa naman ni Boy na sabihan ang kanyang grupo kung saan niya itinago ang mga ninakaw nila. Nang makalaya ang grupo, nagbagong-buhay sila at lumaban nang patas. Tumira sila sa isang tenement at naging bayani pa dahil nasugpo nila ang mga kriminalidad sa kanilang lugar.
The movie directed by William Mayo also stars Isabel Granada as parole officer. It is produced by Randy and Marilou Nonato and Ryan Flores under Cosmic Raven Ventures Productions. Showing na ito sa November 19.
