Coup? Teka, sounds familiar ito, Sen. Gringo, ha? The solon’s reason is plain and simple, and funny: best friend daw kasi ni Ai-Ai si Kris Aquino whose brother nga naman si no less than President Noynoy.
Kung ito ang premise, that connects Kris to the “scam,” sana, ang ipinanalo na lang ng MMFF jurors ay si Kris mismo. At ano naman ang malay ni Ai-Ai sa award na ‘yon? Yes, she wanted to win, but she wanted the award based on the merits of her acting, kaya ano’ng pakialam niya sa mga huradong nagdesisyong papanalunin siya?
If Sen. Gringo believed that Ai-Ai was not deserving, or there was indeed a fiasco, huwag niyang pagtripan ang komedyana. The Senate inquiry—na lalabas lang na katawa-katawa!—should involve the MMFF jurors, ipagpaliwanag sila kung bakit si Ai-Ai ang kanilang choice. Even then, wala na ring pakialam si Gringo sa selection process ng MMFF.
But come to think of, it would be one of comic relief para sa Senado na pag-aksayahan ng panahon should it pursue to look into Ai-Ai’s undeserving award.
KINUMPIRMA NG ILANG malalapit kina Vic Sotto at Pia Guanio na break na nga sila, at least, to put an end to speculations if they are still on, or are no longer.
Kasabay nito ang kumpirmasyon ding ang kasamang nagbakasyon ni Pia sa Shanghai, China—said to be a rich businessman—ay ang bago na nitong nobyo.
While confirmed (although lacking details), marami pa ring tanong hunger for answers.
Kung split na nga sina Vic at Pia, what else is the latter doing in Eat…Bulaga? Hindi ba’t ang mga nakarelasyong co-hosts ni Vic noon, once they said goodbye to each other, left the noontime show in a huff? Ang husay naman ng dalawa to be able to conceal hurt feelings somehow brought about by their breakup.
Pero sino nga ba kina Vic at Pia called it quits?
Still from our source on Pia’s part, si Bossing daw ang nagpasyang maghiwalay na lang sila. Remember that Vic and Pia have a yawning age gap, at kung ito ang pagbabatayan, partners like them differ in lifestyle.
Kilalang ma-nightout si Pia who hangs around with friends for clean fun. Was there a single instance that Vic and Pia were caught together at a late night party or even at a casual get-together with friends? Ang tsika, Vic resented Pia’s “partyphilia.”
Ang ending, nagparaya na lang si Vic. The happy part there, it seems, is that Pia has found a new love who’s a partygoer himself.
From parting to partying.
WAITING WITH BATED breath ang viewers sa torno naman ng TV5 na maglabas ng kanilang omnibus plug ng mga aabangan nilang shows this 2011. The releases kasi as to TV5’s lineup are simply in print, nothing visual kumpara sa umeere nang pasabog ng GMA at ABS-CBN.
All that the viewers know is that in TV5, there are TV adaptations of classic films, even a remake of Iskul Bukol na noo’y napapanood sa IBC 13. A quick look at the rundown of TV5’s new shows and programs is just a revelation that 2011 is the “pukpukan year” as it becomes even more aggressive and competitive.
As Boy Abunda would always say (noon pa kahit ang naggigirian lang ay ang Dos at Siyete), the ones who benefit the most from this raging competition on TV are the viewers who have a wide array of shows to choose from.
After all, branding lang ito as the real Kapusos, Kapamilyas and Kapatids are not the networks, but rather the audience.
