NGAYONG ARAW, May 20, ang 63rd birthday ni Lolit Solis, but for a change, may regalo siyang gustong matanggap mula sa Philippine Medical Association o PMA: ang ma-revoke ang lisensya ni Dr. Hayden Kho.
“Lolit naman, why would you want my son’s license revoked? Didn’t you realize that he took up medicine for 10 long years, tapos, matatanggalan lang siya ng lisensiya?” Sabi raw ng ina ni Hayden kay ‘Nay Lolit over the phone.
Saka ipinaliwanag ng manager-host ang aniya’y valid grounds sa kanyang apela sa PMA. Conduct unbecoming daw ang nilabag sa mga itinakdang ethics ng medical profession ni Hayden.
KINUMPIRMA NAMAN NG manager ni Katrina Halili na si Rommel Gacho na buong araw daw nitong Linggo, hindi makausap nang matino ang alaga.
“She locked herself up inside her room the whole Sunday. Nu’ng tinawagan ko siya, umiiyak pa rin siya, at sa bawat tanong ko, isa lang ang laging isinasagot, ‘opo,'” kuwento ni Rommel.
Sa ngayon, ayaw pangunahan ng manager ang magiging hakbang ni Katrina. “Igagalang ko kung anuman ang desisyon niya. She knows what’s best for her,” sabi pa nito.
Samantala, may nakapag-suggest kay Rommel na bagay sa aktres ang papel bilang bida sa TV version ng Ang Pinakamagandang Hayop Sa Balat Ng Lupa. Given the present circumstances, the role of the principal character (a barrio lass) originally portrayed by Gloria Diaz and reprised much later by Ruffa Gutierrez, is right up Katrina’s alley.
Dagdag-mungkahi pa, mas magiging ideal ang project by getting the support of the most respected artists as cast members, meaning, their respect and admiration for Katrina has not diminished despite the sex scandal.
Pero oooppps, naisulat nang nakalaan ang nasabing proyekto kay Ehra Madrigal, isa sa mga alaga ni Annabelle Rama. Surely, if the role does not land on her lap, expect the Pinakamabangis Na Manager Sa Balat Ng Showbiz on a killing spree!
SPEAKING OF KATRINA, she tries her luck anew as the defending champion of All Star K, The One Million Videoke Challenge. This Sunday, bale ikatlong linggo na niyang iniingatan ang kanyang panalo, the first ever in the history of the nearly seven year-old program.
Kung susumahin, Katrina has so far become richer by P180 thou (more than enough to recall all DVD copies in circulation in Quiapo!).
So what does that make Katrina? Hindi lang siya mahusay sumayaw, magaling din siyang kumanta, and I mean, in the literal sense, huh!
