February 3 nang ihain ni Sunshine Cruz ang mga kasong violence against minor daughters at child abuse laban sa dating asawa sa QC Prosecutor’s Office. The case stemmed from an incident on November 16, 2014, ayon na rin sa sumbong ng kanilang tatlong anak na babae when they slept over at their dad’s residence.
The five-page complaint affidavit has annexes attached to it, ito ‘yung mga handwritten letters ng tatlong bata addressed to their mom.
Without getting into the details of their separate yet corroborative accounts of the incident, nagpapaantok lang daw ang magkakapatid habang nanonood ng The Book Thief while lying beside their dad. Common sense would also dictate that since hiwalay na sina Cesar at Sunshine, and that the latter would only allow their daughters to spend the night or two sa bahay ng kanilang ama, hindi ba’t ang una at basic na tanong ni Sunshine sa mga anak should have been, “O, how was your night with your dad?”
Sa pag-uusisa pa lang na ‘yon ni Sunshine—without any malice yet on her mind—it would have been the perfect opportunity for the kids to recall a fresh instance. At du’n na maaaring mag-iiyak ang mga bata even before they could recount their story like any other victim of child abuse na nasa state of shock pa.
On the assumption na totoo ngang ginawa ‘yon ni Cesar (terms like “masturbating” and “fapping” ang ginamit ng mga bata in their letters), realizing the adverse effects it had on their innocent minds, hindi ba muna naisip ni Sunshine na kausapin si Cesar?
Sa totoo lang, our heart goes out to the three children, na ipagpalagay na nating inabuso umano ng kanilang ama, and subjecting these three beautiful and smart girls to public embarrassment na dala-dala nila hanggang sa mga pinapasukan nilang ekskuwelahan is too much an ordeal for them.
