“NEVER AGAIN!” Ito ang mala-blood compact na nagkakaisang desisyon ng production staff ng isang programa sa hindi na nila muling pag-iimbita kay Maegan Aguilar para mag-guest, neither in the near nor distant future.
Kuwento ng aming source, dumating naman daw sa appointed call time si Maegan. Ang problema, she arrived with nothing but her clothes and pair of shoes unfit for guesting. Nataranta tuloy ang staff, most of whom—in fairness—were willing to lend her ng maisusuot na sapatos.
Ngunit sa rami ng mga gustong magpahiram, ni isang pares ng mga sapatos na ‘yon ay walang nagustuhan ang hitad. Her reason: ang papangit daw. Thank God, nakahanap din ang staff ng shoe pair na swak sa discriminating taste kuno ng anak ni Ka Freddie.
Sumunod na sinolusyunan ng staff ay ang damit na isusuot niya. Finally, they found one.
Pero hindi roon nagtapos ang kalbaryo ng staff. May catered merienda naman na buffet ay kung bakit nagpabili pa si Maegan ng double cheese burger with matching soda. Siya lang among the invited guests was accorded that “royal treatment”.
Moments later, Maegan found herself sharing the table with one of the program hosts during the taping break. Still, disenchantment was written all over the faces of the staff, may buffet na nga’t lahat for the world to feast on ay kung bakit ang pinagtripan naman ng hitad ay dukwangin ang mga finger food sa plato ng host with her bare hands!
Twice daw ginawa ni Maegan ‘yon, to which in all courtesy ay nakangiti pang nagdayalog ang host ng, “Would you like to have my plate?”
Tumango naman daw si Maegan, na nilantakan ang pagkaing nasa plato up to its last tiny morsel!
Just when the production staff thought na nabundat na nang bonggang-bongga si Maegan, nagtataka uli ang staff kung bakit tapos nang i-tape ang episode ay hindi pa rin siya umaalis sa studio.
And guess why, hinintay lang naman ng hitad ang pagdating ng dinner para sa kasunod na ite-tape na episode!
GMA’S PROGRAM analysts have deemed it wise na ilipat tuwing Sunday (after 24 Oras Weekend) ang Picture! Picture! hosted by Ryan Agoncillo para mas makahakot pa ng viewers at advertisers, as it did nang mapanood ang unang Sunday edition nito last June 1.
At dahil sa magandang ratings na naitala nito, the all-Pinoy photo-aided general knowledge game show is up to a greater challenge this Sunday (June 8). Malampasan kaya nito, if not ma-duplicate, ang mataas na ratings given this coming Sunday’s set of celebrity contestants?
Taking a shot para sa tumataginting na kalahating milyong piso are the dreamers, believers and survivors or otherwise known as the winners ad avengers of Starstruck. Kabilang dito sina Sarah Lahbati, Ryza Cenon, Kris Bernal and the thorn among the roses na si Rainier Castillo.
Will their competitive spirit prevail over their long years of friendship spawned by their passport to showbiz? O, kahit paano’y may nostalgic na paglingon pa rin sa kanyang pinagmulan before they became today’s stars to reckon with?
