Bago umalis sina Ms. Lala Aunor at anak na si Marion (kasama si Ashley) para sa series of shows ng panganay sa USA at sa Canada, super excited ang ina.
Hindi kasi niya ini-expect na ang anak niyang si Marion, hindi lang pala pang-Pilipinas ang nari-reach ng popularidad as a singer, kundi pati na rin ang mga kababayan natin sa North America, reason na nang magkasunud-sunod ang offer sa kanila na mag-show si Marion, inayos niya ang schedules and they came up with a series of shows sa Pinoy communities na naabot na rin ng popularidad ni Marion as a singer.
Pero ‘yun pala, hindi lahat perfect. Hindi lahat ng shows ni Marion Aunor ay naging maganda ang ending.
One performance na sumabit at hindi naging maganda was the show in San Francisco, California. The show came out okey, performance wise, pero ang naging treatment kay Marion at sa ina nito ng show producer ay hindi.
Sa kuwento ng ina ni Marion na si Ms. Lala Aunor sa masamang karanasan nila with the show producer: “Our show in Sanfo at Ichiban was Dec. 20 and it was a success naman with the help of my friend Sylvia Feliciano-Neri. She sponsored the show and helped in selling tickets. On Dec. 21, we were supposed to be brought to Los Angeles by Elaine Estrada Crisostomo (the show producer) but after the show my friend asked me to stay for another night and we asked Elaine if we can stay for one more day but did not ask her to pay for the hotel on the extended day and she even told us that it was better to leave on Dec 22 since her girlfriend would join us on our trip to LA because if we leave on Dec 21 the girlfriend cannot join us because she has an oath taking so we all decided to go Dec 22 1pm but unfortunately they did not show up on Dec 22 1pm but we already checked out so we just stayed at the restaurant at the ground floor of Holiday Inn from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
“Then she said she cannot contact us because her phone was low batt that’s why she used the landline of the hotel and was able to talk to her and promised to pick us up 6:00am instead the following day Dec 23. Since it was her fault not to able to pick us up she said she will pay for the hotel on that day but I ended up paying for the hotel.
“We woke up early in preparation for 6:00 am pick-up but no Elaine showed up again. I kept on contacting her through Viber and messenger only since i do not have a phone in US. Around past 7 she messaged me to just hold since she is booking us a flight instead. I decided to just get an Uber taxi to go to Los Angeles with Marion and Ashley.
“She was able to book us a flight but only for me and Marion around 11:00am when i saw her message. She did not book my other daughter but I told Gemma Franco Smith (Ms. Lala’s friend and guarantor of Elaine as a reputable show producer reason why na-confirm ang SFO show) that I will be the one to pay for Ashley and i know it is crystal clear that it is not included in the contract so i don’t want Ashley to be left alone and besides she booked us 6:30pm which is to be confirmed within 24 hrs.
“I just told Gemma to refund the tickets and pay me the land transportation and one day hotel payment and this Elaine said yes but up to now no Elaine is communicating with us and even Gemma was so disappointed with her. I only trusted her because of Gemma since I have been hearing a lot of negative issues already about this producer/promoter. But now i believe that the rumor is true based on our experience,” ayon kay Ms. Lala sa kanyang karanasan sa kanyang San Francisco show producer.
Gusto lang ni Ms. Lala na i-refund nitong si Elaine ang kanilang binayaran na transportation at one night hotel stay.
Sabi ng ina ni Marion: “Elaine, why are you running on this obligation as a producer? We took care of ourselves already and you did not show up after the show. Isn’t it an obligation of a producer to take good care of their artists while the artists are still on your area until she leaves?”
Dahil sa kaganapan, pati si Marion, na-stress sa kaguluhan at dahil sa kapabayaan ng producer niya.
Ayon sa FB posting ni Ms. Lala: “Marion was rushed to the hospital but i am not asking you to pay for it. You did not even bother to check but relied on Ate Sylvia Neri to take us there. At least as a good producer you should have been there and checked us in the hotel. I only got to see u once and that’s during the show,” pahayag ni Ms Lala sa masamang karanasan nila sa isa sa show producer nila named Elaine Estrada Crisostomo.
