Napanood namin ang Valentine drama nina Maine Mendoza and Alden Something sa Tagaytay.
Obviously, ginawa ang video to keep the fire burning as it is very evident na pinagsasawaan na ang tambalang ito ng idiot box.
First was their romantic interlude kuno when Alden Richards read a poem to Maine as pampakilig to their fans. And now comes the Tagaytay video which trivialized Valentine’s Day.
Clearly, the video was meant to make their fans kilig sa kanilang blossoming love.
Blossoming nga ba?
Aren’t they just playing characters on TV na pinagkakitaan na nila ng milyun-milyon because the fans lap it up from the very beginning?
As we watch the video, it was very clear in our mind that it was nothing but a DESPERATE measure to beef up more interest in the team-up as it NECESSITATED a boost. Whether they admit it or not, pinagsasawaan na ang love team and it has lost the steam it once had.
There is an obvious need to make another gimik so that Maine and Alden continue to be TV’s most important pairing.
And so the Valentine video came. It was REPLETE with nothing but kaartehan. May habulan, may kodakan, may selfie-selfie-han, may kainan. The video just captured Maine Mendoza and Alden in their most romantic way kuno.
It was obvious, too, that the scenes were staged, there was nothing spontaneous about their acts. Acting na acting ang dalawa, easily discernible ‘yan sa kanilang mga katawan. Parang nagmamakaawa sila sa kanilang fans na sana kiligin sila sa kanilang effort na maging romantic.
Coached na coached ang acting nila. Cheapness is all there is to their act because they allowed themselves to be exploited as a love team. To their fans, siyempre, kilig na kilig sila.
If they’re really in the courting stage as what their show is SUBTLY suggesting, why is there a need for cameras to capture their sweet and romantic moments which to us is very FAKE naman?
Ratings! Siyempre pa, public OGLING at its best ang drama ng pakulo nilang iyon. It was made to make the gullible public GUSH at the sight of their romantic interludes.
