AS EXPECTED, MARC Abaya wins the Best Supporting Actor sa recently concluded Cinema One Originals para sa kanyang chilling performance sa psychological thriller ng baguhang director na si Joaquin Valdes sa Dagim. Ipinakita niya ang kanyang versatility as he plays Pido, isang leader ng cult of cannibals in a secluded mountain in a period which could be assumed as the 90s – arguably a turbulent era in the Philippine history.
Marc bested some of the country’s finest actors during the awards ceremony of Cinema One Originals, thus catapulting him in the elite ranks of respected and award- winning actors sa Philippine cinema. Right now, he is currently working on another highly-anticipated soap kasama si Regine Velasquez sa GMA-7.
Lead vocalist and front man din si Marc of the award-winning rock band na Kjwan.
This stucks with the band and carried over to the writing ng kanilang third album. Kjwan decided to make an album with ‘love’ as the common theme. This is how they came up with “13 Seconds To Love.” The CD contains the hit singles “Lifeline,” “13 Seconds To Love,” “Pause” and “Meron Ba.” The band is currently working on their full-length studio album.
Kahit busy si Marc sa kanyang singing career and at the sametime as an actor, very active ang kanyang lovelife.
“Learn first how to act so that maybe when I can feel po, I understand what acting really is. For now, what I want is to learn from actors, to work with great actors which I am very blessed.
“I think I have to learn pa po kasi naaalala ko si Tito Johnny, nakakatuwang tao. If I think any seconds, alam niya ‘yun hihirit ‘yan. When it’s come to play parang tatay, that’s Johnny. But when work comes, basag na basag ako du’n. The training of Tito Johnny is classic, du’n ko po na-learn how your fellow actors can help you, hindi puwedeng ikaw lang. I learned to much from Tito Johnny, lalake siyang magturo, very brusko. Si Tita Laurice is very cerebral, very calm, straight to the point. Tito Johnny is all passion and energy.”
