Paliwanag nito, “At that time I felt like I had to tumanda or mag-mature right away because of my experiences when I was younger. So honestly, I think something really really bad happened when I was kid, and I think nadala ko ‘yung emotions, trauma, and ‘yung anxiety all the way hanggang sa teenager ako,”
“I think the only way for me to show that emotion kung ano talaga ‘yung na-feel ko because I couldn’t talk to everybody and especially in the Philippines na parang people look down on you or they don’t really open up about certain things and that’s the culture that we have.
“I think the way that I coped up with it was through rebellion. Talagang I was such a rebellious kid growing up. Teenage years ko I wasn’t taking my artista life seriously. I was really partying almost every single night. As in self-destructive talaga. Why? To numb the pain,” she revealed.
Binanggit din nito na nilayasan niya ang kanyang ina noong siya’ 16 years old dahil na rin sa pagrerebelde.
“Because I wasn’t able to express that growing up and I guess during my teenage years I was finding ways and at the same time I was having trouble with my parents, my mom specifically. Hindi talaga kami magkasundo before.
“The reason why I left the house as early as 16 years old. I’ve been providing for myself since when I was 16. I think dinala ko ‘yun do’n,”
“Obviously, mga personal issues mo you don’t talk about it sa showbiz. People don’t care. They just want you to do your job, to act, work every single day, work hard. They praise you for working hard, but they never really ask how you’re doing. Nobody would really ask in that type of industry.
“Even if you share with them, I don’t think it’s genuine. It’s more so they just want a scoop. They just want things to put on the newspapers.
Mangiyak-ngiyak na pahabol nito, “I guess dealing with that growing up with no outlet, I was really lost. And I think at some point I was depressed I was always always drinking. I was never an alcoholic but every single night kahit pagod ako from work I would just drink because I don’t wanna feel that pain.”
Ngayon na malayo na siya sa mundo ng showbiz at naovercome na niya ito ay pinalalahanan ni Michelle ang mga viewers niya na may mental health problems na okay lang na maging malungkot and that their emotions are valid.
“If you guys have been feeling depressed, stressed, or anxious lately, know that your feelings and your emotions are valid. Note that it is normal to feel both emotions and super important to take care of our mental health as it is to take care of our physical health,” pagtatapos nito.
