ALL OUT ang City of Manila sa kanilang yearly Miss Manila beauty competition kung saan ang mga candidates ay mula sa iba’t ibang distrito ng lungsod na pinaglilingkuran ni dating president at ngayon ay Mayor ng Manila na si Joseph Estrada.
Sa media presentation na isinagawa yesterday lunch time sa Manila Hotel Centennial Ballroom, rumampa ang 32 candidates na piling-pili na lima sa kanila ay personally bet namin sa gagawing na Grand Coronation Night on Tuesday, June 26 sa PICC Plenary Hall as part of Araw ng Maynila.
Ang 32 candidates vying for the prestigious crown na marami sa kanila ay pang-showbiz or pwede mag-level-up sa mga national and international beauty search like Binibining Pilipinas, Miss World ang even Miss Earth ay sina: Esel Mae Pabillaran, Lux Coleen Brusas, Charlotte Jhiza Beleno, Genesis Durana, Elaine Contresa, Kristi Celeyn Banks, Ria Angelique Siozon, Julee Anne Mae Cabrerra, Kayla Fajardo, Paulina Labayo, Maika Suaver, Ma. Flordeliza Mabao, Katrina Racellis, Dyan Shane Mag-abo, Leitz Camyll Ang, Therese Marie Marguerette Gaston, Lois Sta. Maria, Maria Lianina Maclinao, Nikki Lim Sotelo, Agatha Lei Romero, Sheika Hanna Galang, Cristine Roazol, Joanna Day, Angelique Mae Santos, Kathleen Joy Paton, Juliee Ann Forbes, Zeta Erin Alegre, Joan Patrice Dulina, Georgette Coronacion, Samantha Elin Coloso, Beatriz Canary Tolentino at si Lean Dominique Lalu.
Sa naturang event press presentation ay dumalo si Mayor Erap at gayon din si Miss Jackie Ejercito na chairperson ng MARE Foundation na pinamumunuan niya na beneficiary ng naturang beauty and brains competition. Ang coronation night ay mapapanood on July 1 sa Sunday’s Best pagkatapos ng Gandang Gabi Vice sa ABS-CBN.
Sa mga local beauty competition, ang Miss Manila marahil ang mga pinaka-bongga ang mga pa-premyo na ang kokoronahan ay maguuwi ng P1,000,000.00 (1 Million) worth of prizes na P500,000.00 in cash and a management contract from Viva Management worth half a million.
First Runner-up will take home P350,000; P250,000 for the second runner-up and P150,000 for the Third Runner-up and P100,000 for the Fourth Runner-up.
As winners in the Miss Manila 2018, they will also represent the City of Manila in different official functions
