Let It Snow
Although it was released in 2019, “Let It Snow” makes it to the list for being a light, cheesy and fun movie perfect for the nights you just want to chill. This film was based on the young adult novel written by Maureen Johnson, John Green and Lauren Myracle. It stars Isabela Merced, Matthew Noszka, Liv Hewson, Odeya Rush, Kiernan Shipka, Jacob Batalon and Joan Cusack.
The story revolves several teenagers that lives on a small, Midwestern town where not a lot happens. The culmination of the movie is a wonderful Christmas Ever party at the Waffle Town.
Holidate
Holidate is the first among the many holiday film that Netflix released for this year. It was originally based on a screenplay written by Tiffanny Paulsen. Brought to life by the director John Whitesell, it stars American sweetheart Emma Roberts, Luke Bracer, Jake Manley, Jessica Capshaw and Andrew Bachelor.
The film revolves around two good looking singles who refused to be bothered with the intricacies of dating lives and holidays. If there was a one night stand, there were dates for holidays, which they were for each other. The working arrangement got messes up when they fell slowly in love with each other.
The Knight Before Christmas
Directed by Monika Mitchell, this romantic-comedy film released in 2019 is definitely one of the go-tos when it comes to Holiday films. Starring Vanessa Hudgens, Josh Whitehouse and Emmanuelle Chriqui, The Knight Before Christmas features scenic landscapes from Ontario, Canada and Tullamore, Ireland.
This magical story revolves around a knight, Cole, who time travelled to the future for a quest he was not aware of. He was saved by the wonderful woman, Brooke, who accidentally hit him with her car one day. She took him in until his “memory comes back”. Little did she know that Cole is literally the knight in shining armor she has been waiting for.
The Princess Switch
Think Parent Trap but with castles, royalties, and more. This film was directed by Mike Rohl and stars Vanessa Hudgens, Sam Palladio and Nick Sagar. From the title itself, two identical women switched place. Stacey De Nova, a talented baker from Chicago, is a finalist at the Belgravia Baking Competition. One of the judges, is Lady Margaret Delacourt, Duchess of Montenaro who happens to be the fiancée of Crown Prince Edward of Belgravia. They switched places for supposedly a fix time – for Margaret to experience the normal life before she gets married in exchange for Stacey’s godchild Olivia, a spot at Belgravia’s much-admired summer ballet program. But sparks flew when the prince started to fall in love with Stacey, and Margaret with Stacey’s best friend (Olivia’s father).
