It is confirmed that audiences will see a different Nikki sporting blonde hair but only when performing onstage as Elle Woods in Atlantis Productions’ Legally Blonde The Musical. It will premiere in Manila on June 2010 at the Meralco Theatre and is directed by Chari Arespacochaga.
Expect Nikki to wear those bright and stylish pink dresses as she walks down from the Delta Nu sorority house to the august halls of justice. Tagging along with Nikki is the lovable chihuahua, Bruiser.
Ang Legally Blonde The Musical ay hango sa pelikulang Legally Blonde na pinagbidahan ni Reese Witherspoon. Sa Amerika, unang napanood sa San Francisco ang Legally Blonde: The Musical noong January 23, 2007 at sa Palace Theater on Broadway noong April 29, 2007 starring Laura Bell Bundy.
Ayon kay Simone Genatt, Chairman of Broadway Asia Company na nag-produce ng Legally Blonde sa New York, “With the tremendous star power of Nikki Gil heading an incredibly talented cast of local performers, we feel very confident that legally Blonde will be very successful in the hands of Atlantis Productions.”
Nikki has already begun her vocal and dance preparations. “I’m very excited to have been chosen to play Elle Woods! It’s a challenge in terms of stamina and vocal endurance so I really have to prepare for it,” Nikki says.
Elle Woods is a famous character not only because of her bubbly personality but also for her grit to prove herself and to do well at the prestigious Harvard Law School.
