Text message nito sa amin, “As I’ve said, the tweet was only brought to my attention, I am not one to ‘look’ or ‘surf’ social media for such things.
“I am fully aware that our family is an easy target, especially to those who do not know us in a personal level.
“Whether that tweet was in fact 4 years ago, any child in their right state of mind would stand up of their father. If my father was TRULY a ‘convicted plunderer’, would you think he would be a free man today?
“The court that convicted my father at that time was handpicked by Mrs. Macapagal herself during… and as we know she was my father’s vice-president until EDSA Dos happened.
“If my father was TRULY a ‘convicted plunderer’ our whole family would have left the country and lived elsewhere, my father would have accepted the offer Mr. Nani Perez (GMA’s Secretary of Justice) made THREE TIMES while my father was incarcerated.
“And if my father was TRULY a ‘convicted plunderer’ why would the same people that put him in jail pardon him?
“The Catholic church issued a public apology and so did the late President Cory Aquino before she passed.
“These are the things that people who lived away would not know about and those who might’ve been too young back in 2011.
“So, I hope this would put everything to rest. This is not a case of seeking attention. As children of a good man, it hurst to hear people pass judgement.”

MULING NAGPARAMDAM si Claudine Barretto, via Instagram sa kanyang mga followers. Post niya last Thursday, May 23, isang litrato kasama ang kanyang inang si Mommy Inday, ang kanyang ama, kapatid at mga pamangkin. Naka-caption dito ang mga salitang, “Cooking for the family is fun.”
Base sa sunud-sunod niyang posts, magluluto siya ng paella valenciana para sa birthday ng pamangking si Gian.
Pero sa isa niyang post kung saan naghahalukay siya sa kawali ng kanyang niluluto, kuntodo smile itong nakatingin sa camera. Natawa kami dahil sa mga nag-comment dito na parang nagluluto nga naman bakit kuntodo accessories pa, make-up at outfit.
Sabi ni @newbietz, “@claubarretto Looking good. But I guess it’s not appropriate to wear much accessories when cooking food. Not even safe to start with. Esp you’re just doing it at home. Just a thought.”
Depensa ng isang follower na si @cutielass, “@newbietz hey don’t stress yourself with Clau’s outfit while cooking. Its her right whatever she wants to wear. She wear what she thinks it’s comfy and maybe kagagaling lang niya sa labas and then when she got home hindi na nagpalit ng damit besides may okasyon. Eh kung yun ang gusto niya pakialam mo?! Your thought doesn’t make sense at all! Shut up! Kung pangit naman ang isusuot niya lalaitin din kaya keri na yan nakikitingin ka lang andami mo pang satsat!”

Okey, relax lang mga friends, nakay Claudine na ang desisyon kung sa next post niya ay nagluluto pa rin siya pero in a more glamorous outfit. Or naka-swimsuit kaya habang nag-iihaw ng isda o baboy? Hay buhay!!!!
