UNLIKE MOST INTERVIEWEES who would later claim they were quoted out of context, ang reaksiyon ni Mommy Dionesia when asked to comment about the controversial RH (Reproductive Health) Bill did not only lack syntax, malayo rin ‘yon sa tanong.
As a result, binatikos si Mommy D ng gay sector, even calling her an idiot.
At sa kaso ni Mommy D, obvious na kulang, kundi man salat siya sa kaalaman tungkol sa RH Bill, I would assume she does not even know what it stands for. Given such limited knowledge or sheer lack of it, patulan ba ng media ang lumalabas sa bibig ni Mommy D, na sa pagkakaalam ng marami ay karakter, a source of laughter, a funny human being?
Why pick on someone like Mommy D to talk about RH Bill, bakit hindi na lang tungkol sa pagreretiro ni Manny ang itinanong sa kanya, a topic she could discuss as many times as her age?
Eye-opener ito para sa karamihan sa atin. Amidst the raging debate on the issue, the proponents of this pen-ding bill need to make extra efforts to educate the citizenry.
SLIGHTLY AFFECTED ANG Brapanese model-actor na si Fabio Ide by a tabloid item (hindi rito sa Pinoy Parazzi) calling him “ipokrito” when asked if he would give in to an indecent proposal—whether from a woman or a gay man – in exchange for millions of pesos.
Paano raw tinanggihan ‘yon ni Fabio, samantalang—ayon pa sa diyaryo—he unzipped his pants in front of Rufa Mae Quinto?
Ayon kay Fabio, he came to the Philippines to work. Back in his native Sao Paolo, Brazil ay maayos ang buhay ng kanyang pamilya. His father is a dentist, his sister is a lawyer, and Fabio would have become a lawyer as well if he did not get into professional modelling. In other words, Fabio grew up in a family that upheld and still upholds values on hard work, fear of God and respect for people.
Fabio did not stumble upon the writeup himself, may tumawag lang daw sa kanya to search it on the internet. Eksakto na raw sana ang pagkaka-quote sa kanya ng reporter, verbatim, in fact, but what he did not like about it was the term “ipokrito.”
Ang sabi na lang namin kay Fabio, as words of reassurance to a fellow host of Tweetbiz Insiders, don’t allow it to spoil your work. Just keep going, although the worst (writeup) is yet to come. Acknowledging our advice by repeatedly nodding, I knew hindi siya “ipokrito” as he took it with genuine sincerity.
