TULOY NA TULOY na talaga ang kasalang John Estrada at Priscilla Meirelles. As if one wedding is not enough, the longtime couple is tying the knot twice – one in the Philippines and another in Brazil. Inireport namin kamakailan sa The Buzz na ikakasal ang dalawa sa bansa February next year at lilipad sila patungong Brazil in May or June for their grand Brazilian wedding.
“It’s supposed to be one wedding lang dito sa Pilipinas kasi ito ang country ko ngayon. Pero mahirap sa pamilya ko na lahat sila pumunta rito kasi sobrang malayo, kasi it’s very expensive. Not all my relatives can come here for the wedding,” explained Priscilla.
John is very much welcome in Priscilla’s family especially by her parents. Patunay rito that their Brazilian wedding is a gift from Priscilla’s mom.
Nabasa ko sa internet na gaya ng Pilipinas ay marami ring wedding traditions sa Brazil. The samba is danced in all Brazilian weddings. The bride is expected to be late by ten minutes to the wedding. At the wedding party, the tables are named by the names of Brazilian cities. Wedding receptions are happy and festive. Kapag natapos na ang wedding party, the groom takes his bride and carries her home. He has to step with his right foot first in the room dahil ang ibig daw sabihin nito ay suwerte at kalusugan para sa pamilya.
Ilang mahahalagang detalye naman ang ibinahagi ng dalawa tungkol sa nalalapit nilang kasal dito sa Pilipinas. It’s going to be a beach wedding. Nabanggit noon ni John sa isang interview na dream wedding ni Priscilla ang maikasal sa beach. The country has some of the best beaches in the world kaya ang Boracay, Cebu, Bohol, Camarines Sur at Palawan ang kanilang pinagpipilian.

Hindi siyempre mawawala sa wedding entourage ang kanilang mga close friends na sina Richard Gomez, Anjo Yllana at Willie Revillame. Priscilla’s bestfriend will fly from the United States to be her maid of honor. Tiyak na sa mga darating na araw ay marami pa tayong malalaman tungkol sa kanilang wedding preparations.
When asked to give a message to John, Priscilla said, “Mahal na mahal kita. I really treasure our relationship and sana we grow old together. I really want to have a family with you. I’ll make you as happy as I can. Sana we will be forever happy together.”
